Thank you very much for this, but may I ask why Dell U2913WM? Isn't that super wide? Looks a bit weird to me, where can I get 4770k for RM749? I check all of the reseller selling at about 1k.

Sorry..that's typo error..it's i5 4670K.. sweat.gif

As for the monitor,u can also consider to buy Qnix monitor, which comes in 1440p..and it's cheap also smile.gif

Thanks bro replied.

a bit changes here. If GPU shift to ASUS GeForce® GTX 650 Ti. And mother prefer standard HDMI port? Which one can i take.
at the same time OC / Cfx does it important? I'm not gamer but hopefully can last for 2-3 years.

Last question, above price all get from same shop at lowyat? do them provide assemble? i'm first time build rig... don't know what to do... sweat.gif

thanks

I didn't see any PSU there. How many W is recommended? Also, any improvement I can do if i were to increase the budget to around RM2k? Also, does the onboard Graphic able to play games like Dota 2 in at least medium settings?

I was recommended to get the
MSI 970A-G43 ATX Mainboard @RM279 +
Silverstone AR02 CPU Cooler @RM109 +
AMD FX-6300 3.5Ghz 14mb cache (6-Cores) @RM429
when I requested for the
Intel Core i5 4430 3.0Ghz 6mb cache (4-Cores) @RM559 +
Asrock B85M Pro4 @RM279.

What do you guys think about the MSI AMD combo?
Is the Asrock Intel combo better?
Is the MSI mobo + AMD chip compatible with a GTX760 2GB GDDR5?
Is there a reason why you guys normally recommend intel chips over amd? AMD seems to be cheaper hmm.gif

Try :

Intel Xeon E3-1225v3 3.2GHz RM735
Asrock B85M-HDS mainboard RM249
Kingston KVR1600MHz 8GB RM229
Sapphire HD7730 1GB DDR5 RM259
FSP Hexa 500W PSU RM149
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD RM189
Bitfenix Merc Alpha case RM129
Liteon 24x DVDRW RM64

Total - RM2,003.00
*
Thanks for the suggestion, but I have a few questions:
1. What is the advantages of Intel Xeon E3-1225v3 over most of the Haswell i7 for instances in my case?

2. If I skip the dedicated gpu and use Intel's own integrated gpu, how much performance degradation should I expect? At what places would the performance suffer in my scenario?

Thanks for the help!

Well the intel xeon is basically a core i7 without the onboard gpu(intel hd graphics) and it has a lower tdp(lower power consumption). U are basically getting the benefit of hyperthreading without spending more towards the i7.

Yes u can change it if u want to , its basically up to ur choice smile.gif
