hi guys,
can u suggest me a gaming rig spec.

-budget RM2-3k
-gaming (Can settle with Medium-high setting)
-dvd drive
-high resolution
-FIFA, COD, NFS, Battlefield, GTA etc.
-can play games for the next 5yrs
-PJ
*
5 years is a bit too ambitious IMO.
Though if you are willing to deal with medium settings, it might be fine.

i5 4430-RM569
ASRock B85M-HDS-RM249 (Idealtech@Garage Sales)
Kingston 1x8GB Value RAM-RM208
WD Blue 1TB HDD-RM189
Sapphire R9 290-RM1449 (lingloong@Garage Sales)
Super Flower Golden Green HX 600@ PSU-RM299 (Idealtech@Garage Sales)
LiteON DVD Writer-RM60
CM K280 Case-RM128
Total: RM3151

This is a pretty beefy build in terms of the GPU, albeit it is a bit overbudget...

Sifus,

Do you think this is the optimal / best bang for buck I can get for RM4,200?
Main usage will be gaming (want to max graphics if possible) + the other usual suspects... surfing, watching movies, music.

i5-4570 (3Y)
GA.B85M-D3H (3Y)
8GB G.Skill Value Ram (Limited-Lifetime)
120GB Crucial M500 SSD (3Y)
1TB Hitachi 7200RPM HDD (3Y)
Zotac GTX770 AMP! Edition 2GB (2+3Y extended)
LG DVD RW 24x
Silverstone TJ08-E
Dell U2312HM (5Y
Free Wifi Adapter
Free Mousepad
Rosewill RK9000 MX Blue (3 Years warranty)
RM4200

May be able to max budget @ RM4500.
*
Looks fine... But if you are willing to deal with heat/noise issues, there's the Sapphire R9 290 at RM1499 from Idealtech, and it comes with BF4 for free.

Checked that your monitor is only 1440 x 900 resolution. I have included in a 1080p monitor under your build. The experience will surely be... thumbup.gif

Intel Core i5 4430 - RM559
Asrock B85M Pro4 – RM279
Corsair Value Ram 8GB DDR3 1600MHz - RM229
Leadtek GTX 760 2GB – RM849
FSP Hexa 500W PSU - RM149
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD - RM189
Cooler Master K380 Casing - RM149
Viewsonic VX2370S 23" IPS LED - RM499
Lite-On 24x DVDRW – RM59

Total - RM2961 (prices are from Viewnet)

Why no Gainward Phantom/Zotac AMP!? brows.gif
Another alternative would be the R9 270X... and comes with BF4... brows.gif

all sifus...this is my upcoming build.

CPU--i7 4770
RAM--Kingston HyperX 16gb
MOBO--Gigabyte H87-D3H
SSD--Plextor M5S 128gb
HDD--WD 1TB blue
GPU--MSI GTX770 lightning
PSU--Seasonic M12II 620w (i believe i didnt see wrong, the price is rm359)
Chassis--CM 690III
ODD--any
Cooler--i not sure what to get

so, is everything ok? need to double confirm it before going to buy.
and for the cooler, what cooler should i get?
*
Usage? Looks good if you are gaming and doing rendering stuff...
Though high speed RAMs aren't necessary... tongue.gif
Just stick with stock coolers since you are not overclocking. Alternatively, you can settle with a Xeon 1230 v3, and that Xeon is an i7 in disguise, without the integrated graphics and overclocking.
The price of the MSI lightning card can give you Sapphire R9 290 BF4 edition for RM1449, if you don't mind the extra heat and noise... However, the performance is close to a RM3000+ GTX Titan...

Dear Sifus,

I've been thinkin to upgrade my current PC, therefore i need some suggestion;

(My Current Rig):
Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3GHz
MSI P67A-GD55
2x 2GB Kingston D3 1333
1TB Samsung HD
MSI GTX 460 cyclone
500W Silverstone sst-st50f-es
LG 23" Monitor E2350T (1920x1080)

1) My budget is around 1k only, so i really need some suggestion on which item should i replace/upgrade first within budget,
2) My main purpose of upgrading is for Gaming (BF4, GTA, CRYSIS,....). Im not targeting for SUPER ULTRA graphic but can goes to HIGH setting also good enough,
3) Any brand can do,
4) I also tend to upgrade more in the future from time to time.
Thanks for help~  blush.gif

Consider the Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X... RM1099 je... brows.gif
You may need to sell off the GPU and the PSU, and get a better PSU, like the Super Flower Golden Green HX 600W for RM299, or the Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 550W for the same price...

An extra 4GB RAM also helps nicely as well... icon_idea.gif

Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X... RM1099 + Super Flower Golden Green HX 600W for RM299 + extra 4GB RAM +-140  = RM1538

if and only if i can sell both my PCU and GPU for 538..........  sweat.gif

btw, thanks for the idea~

You can also drop the RAM first if you wish... tongue.gif
or step down the GPU to a Zotac GTX760 AMP! for RM880... brows.gif

Dear Sifus,

Can help to recommend for the mobo, ssd and ram for my rig?

Thanks in advance..

CPU : i5 4670K (confirm)
CPU Cooler : H80i (confirm)
PSU: CM GX 550W (confirm)
MB : CF + OC support must
SSD : not decided (120gb)
RAM : not decided (8 gb)
GPU : R290 (confirm)
It's my first time trying to do serious OC so i guess entry level to mid range mobo?

SSD - Reliable (higher/faster data transfer would be secondary)

I'm hoping not to spend over 2.5k for MB, SSD, RAM, GPU. But i'm trying to future proof the build so suggestions slightly higher than the budget is ok.

Only gonna be used for gaming primarily. Appreciate any help offered  nod.gif
*
Horrible PSU... I'd get this: Super Flower Golden Green HX for RM299 from GBros.
H80i? Why don't you take Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro? or maybe NZXT Kraken? or a traditional high end air cooling? Like the NH-D14 or the Phanteks PH-TC14PE?

For a serious OC board... Take a look at this picture here: http://sinhardware.com/images/vrmlist.png

SSD... Take a look at Samsung's 840 EVO 128GB for RM360

Any Value 1600MHz RAMs should do the trick. wink.gif

v2 is a LGA1155 based CPUs (Ivy Bridge) and v3 is a Haswell based CPU (uses the LGA1150 socket)

Your build looks great. wink.gif If you want some quietness in your rig, then consider investing in a cheap air cooler like the CM TX3 EVO for less noise... tongue.gif

All shifus please help me ><
I came up with own build but i dono is it good enough.
I use mostly for gaming, movies and surfing internet.

CPU: Intel Core I5 4570
MOBO:Asus b85m-g
RAM: GSKill Aegis 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz
HDD: 1TB WD Blue
GPU: Leadtek Gtx 760 2GB
Chasis: CoolerMaster K380
PSU: Seasonic S12 620 PSU
ODD: Liteon 24x Sata DVDRW

Is the mobo good,or any other better at the price range?
And do i need 620w for this build? Any other PSU that shifus will recommend?
Need help ><  notworthy.gif  rclxub.gif
p/s: Better if can cut down a bit more budget tongue.gif
*
I think you can cut down your budget on:
RAM and board... Looks overpriced for me...
Gaming RAMs are more or less gimmicky... I'd rather get a Value RAM and save some cash...
600W looks overkill for your build.. A quality 500W like the FSP Hexa 500W for RM149 might do the trick...

Single value ram of 8GB will do the job? or 4GB x2? What mobo should i use? I choose this mobo because it written 5x last longer,I prefer better quality with cheap price ><Btw, how about SuperFlower HX 500W?Quite cheap and 80plus ,but idk where to claim warranty >< doh.gif

1x8GB is fine...
5x last longer... marketing gimmick... laugh.gif
SuperFlower unit is better, and you do have a way to claim warranty from Gbros@Garage Sales and CyntrixTech@Garage Sales... tongue.gif (FYI, it's a one-to-one exchange if I'm not mistaken)

The build looks good, though the monitor u can get Dell Dell UltraSharp U2312HM IPS-Panel Black 23" -RM629 instead which has a 5 years warranty in it.

The 780ti is currently the fastest single gpu at the moment, at 1080P it should run most right now at ultra settings. For the 780ti , u can look at Cycom which retail Zotac GTX 780ti 3GB-Rm2299.  smile.gif

For SSD , yeah it does reduce the load time by quite a bit. Though in MP yup you still have to wait for other players to join in.

Why not considering a 1440p monitor? brows.gif
