Just practise your pinches before attempting any songs.....
But if you want a real Pinch Harmonic workout, try Counterfit God from their Stronger Then Death album. Oh yeah...... I got my EMG-ZWs..... now shopping for a place to install them. Last place I want to go is Woh Fatt because of downtown and jam and all that..... Anyone knows how much the guitar store charges for pickup changing and setup? And should we meet up anytime during 7th - 14th of August?? I got a mid semester break then..... what say ya??? Bentley to test out some amps and show over the new and improved Epi Zakk Wylde??!! ANybody going to US?
I want an Ibanez RGT42DXFM which is limited to US... my ex-guitar teacher's US supplier has it, but it's a contract/policy not to ship it outside the US. Arghhh... I'm dead bored of black, hence the reason why I dont want the RGT42DX BP which is available here. |

Hehehehe..... you should have asked me 4 weeks ago man!!!! Oh well.... Hand Carry weight? Um..... put it this way..... They let me in with one of the heaviest Les Paul Epiphone had to offer....... 'nuff said. Bringing back a guitar should be no problem..... put it in a SOFT case (Hard case they MIGHT ask you to check it in and then you can kiss your beautiful guitar good bye after the luggage handlers toss it all over the place) and hand carry it along on the plane.
Oh yeah....... this is how f'ing Noob I am...... I just read the Manual for the EMG-ZWs..... and just realized that the stupid idiot at Woh Fatt SWAPPED IN THE WRONG PICK-UPS FOR MY LP-100!!!!!!! The EMG-81 has a silver logo and the EMG-85 has a gold logo....... They put the 85 in the bridge and the 81 in the neck!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine..... me not noticing that........Stooooopid Noob..... I'm now officially the laughing stock of the forum. sigh....... SO if it's a Quik-Connect, I can just swap 'em myself without soldering anything, right? They are both actives anyway........ @Everdying
Umm........no idea.....partly agreed with you.......partly not agreed with you.......but if i'm a budget buyer.......i'll value an amp 1st....as an example....i would spend 2000 bucks on whole setup.......for me....i would spend 1000 for amp and 800 for guitar and 200 for accessories.....but this is all depends on personal prefrences.... but...how about if my place got no jamming studio? i just strum my guitar with a crap sounded amp? @Blacktrix Damn....how could woh fatt done this stupid mistake.....they're consider pro.......so u just never realised it for whole few years? but i think it should not be a problem as long as the wiring is perfect.....good luck on ur ZW les paul soldering work..... |

Yeah..... I was thinking about the Half Stack, All Tube.....First things first, I can't play it too loud..... my practise room is really small..... Second of all..... I might have no place for a half stack...... I might have to settle for the Marshall AVT150 Combo........ say it ain't so...... but, that's the reality of a small space where I can't play loud.......sigh...........................
Oh..... and I roughly know how to setup, in terms of adjusting the height and all that.... will have to experiment for a bit and also gives me a good reason to change the strings on my LP-100..... Sayang to throw away 40 Ringgit worth of strings!!!! And I'm sending my ZW LP to either Guitar Collection or Guitar Shop..... if I can't do it this week, I'll send it to Bentley then. Still awaiting the price from the Guitar Shop to properly change the pickups and setup as well...... maybe findout how much to fix that crack too. QUOTE(Criptonox89 @ Jul 17 2006, 08:50 PM) but...how about if my place got no jamming studio? i just strum my guitar with a crap sounded amp? thats why got headphone amps, like the korg pandora series.i been upgrading from px2, px3 and now px4. now px4 also just under RM500. there are other cheaper headphone amps around anyway, but px4 has decent enough effects, metronome with decent drum and bassline loops. i got a small practice amp, kustom tube12, tho i hardly use it. and strum guitar with crap sounding amp? nothing wrong with that. heck, sometimes when i prac i dont even plug in the guitar. blacktrix, for my wiring stuff i usually send to my friend in SMX at times sq. he does it real well, but dunno if he has time or not. other person that i would send to would be tham, he says he can do wiring tho i've never tried.
