Since you got to have the money first to even use it, honestly, it makes the whole thing a little redundent.

Only benefit I can see here is

i) you don't have to carry a sh*t load of cash along if you want to get some expensive stuff
ii) it is a great alternative for other online transaction methods (western union, money order...etc)

I do agree about the not owing part though, being able to pay by installments(even better if interest free), even if you have the cash at hand, is a choice I will take everytime, cause we never know when we might need that money suddenly.

The way I look at credit card is, it is a great tool during emergencies.

well if i do use it, it wont be for local usage.
would be for ordering stuff from stewmac, topping up paypal so its easier to get stuff off ebay etc.

I was just thinking how excellent this would be for students. Parents give the kid one, but the limit's capped to how much they put in. Therefore no overcharging on the card. It's pretty much just giving the kid cash, but in the convenience of a card.

That's a great idea actually, I should suggest this to my parents to get one for my sis cause we had to go all the way to Inti Nilai to give her money sometimes when she overspends and driving there isn't very fun at all afer a while.

My parents never gave her a card cause you know what female will do lah with a credit card in hand.

With this we can just bank in here and save a trip.

and i have to share that weird feeling with you guys

it's like driving an old american muscle car (Sherby ?) and a brand new sporty Porshe, and ending up preferring the sherby... I never tried either of them though laugh.gif

Welcome to the vintage singlecoil club. thumbup.gif How long have you owned the strat btw? Heh, who needs a humbucking guitar anyway? tongue.gif tongue.gif

Don't be such a sexist, the same thing would have happened to any male too, only with car accessories/guitar/gadgets replacing apparels etc. tongue.gif

Errr.... doesn't she has a bank account/atm card?

Haha, my parents never gave her an ATM card for the very same reason. Too easy to just go and tekan and tekan each time she sees something see wants.

While I agree that guys love to buy stuff too but how many shoes, tops, skirts, watches, handbags.....does a person really need?

I guess to me, guys are just more responsible with money. We buy stuff too but definitely not at the frequency that females are buying stuff.

Put it this way, your dad understands you well. biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

Btw, just 'gotten' Buddy Guy's live album, bloody good and I love his strat tone. I think you'ill like it since you liked John Mayer Trio's video. Buddy's amazing live, not sure if evo.com managed to catch his live show. Because if he did... I'm JEALOUS! sweat.gif

Well your parents can limit the amount the money they bank in every month lol.

The girls will ask the same thing lol, "How many effects pedal do you need?" I'm not sure how much responsible guys are with money compared to girls, just open the Flash Us thread. tongue.gif tongue.gif We're all humans and are tempted to spend when we get the chance to.

yeah. Don't talk about pedals. At least there are different types of pedals for different effects. When you buy 10 of the same thing... shakehead.gif

I know a strat freak collector who has more than 20 vintage strats. Now...how many strats do you need? laugh.gif

Heh what I was trying to say is that they won't understand why we need to have different types of effects and pedals. biggrin.gif

Anyway why not? One with a 60s neck, one with a humbucker, one with a vintage 60s pickups, one with hotrails etc etc.... the list is endless. tongue.gif tongue.gif Everdying puts it perfectly. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Explain like this:

"Even you bought 10 handbag, the purpose still the same even different brand or material. Carrying thing like make-up, small mirror etc but if I buy 10 guitar or its gadget will produce different tone & sound"

Yeah especially the Boss ones smile.gif

And you boys are all preaching to the choir. We'd all have multiple instruments of the same model and 15 reserve pedals for each type and have a nice Vox modelling amp, as well as each of the amps that Vox models in front of us, and 1763 different picks if we could.

Wear those scares and dents with pride boys. The first one will always hurt but after that, you don't really care anymore.
