Not surprised. Gibson themselves admitted that each time they increase the price, the sales also increase.

I might be off with the 5k++ figure but definitely above 4k++

Well, if my JCM800 falls through, I think I decided to go with the Gothic Explorer with A Floyd Rose built-in already. Hopefully can find one in Singapore.......

just use a slightly damp cloth.
any kind of polish will just cause the gold to dissapear.

Tried it.... but didn't like it.
Sounded waaaaaaay too digital for my tastes.
The Marshall/Fuzz/Wah combo still works best if you can.

And no, I don't mean a Dunlop Wah..... Hendrix used a Vox Clyde Wah.... but the Dunlop JH-1 is pretty damn close to Jimi's sound.

If you're REALLY into Hendrix's sound, and don't have a multi-FX unit already, then I guess it's ok.
But if you have a decent Multi-FX with a decent Marshall Plexi/Jubilee Simulation, just get a Fuzz and a Dunlop JH-1 Wah and you can roughly replicate the tone already.

Using my Tonelab SE, I created a pretty convincing patch with a Marshall Plexi, Vox Clyde Wah and slightly boosted via my ZW-44. Works just as well for Hendrix's Tone..... and yes... I DO by-pass my ZW-45 Wah.

okay dont get all mad and jumpy...but I hate marshall very muddy amps...
they sound too muddy to me...prefer fender amps..

but yeah I dont have a multi effects yet so I'm just browsing my options...but kind of in a budget and chances to find such a padel as a 2nd hand is zero I guess..

that's too general. Which marshall are you referring to? Not all marshalls have the "marshall sound". And the marshall sound is not muddy. Vox sounds muddier to me. All of them. Although i like Brian May, i have to say his tone sucks. tongue.gif

the MG series to start with...

that's what i've heared just to be biased to other amps...it made a telecaster sound muddy...

Yeah, the MG series should be discounted as proper "Marshall" products. The MG represents NOTHING of what a real Marshall can offer.......

Even the AVT series can't be considered to give the full Marshall experience. A proper Tube amp like the JCM800 or even the JCM2000 will only feel like it's a Marshall.
