Total Guitar always get the best interviews around. Once theye gathered Mick Thompson (Unmasked), Noodles of Offspring, and Satch to discuss guitar. Pretty insightful interview. And before that if I'm not mistaken... Vai, Eric Johnson, Zakk Wylde and John 5 (Without the horrible make-up ).

Anyway what happened to all the news updates on guitarists? I remember we used to keep each other updated on the guitar world and it was fun coming to this thread. (Except that Blacktrix never stops posting ZW covershots. )

Oh well... those of you who are lucky enough to catch G3 this year, watch out for Vai! Not only he has ditched his long hair, he is using the G System instead of his elaborated racks.
Not sure if he will do the same on the G3 tour tho.

whats wrong with 8 string guitars? michael hedges uses (or rather used...RIP) a 14 string acoustic and jean baudin, anthony wellington, stanley jordan (i think) and many other bassists play 10-11 string basses. Well, yeah u could land an airbus A380 on the fretboard... But it'S pretty cool to watch them play.
