Bad Monkey was good....... transparent, and the amp's natural sound still comes through..... but not as Gainy as my Zw-44.....

I tried the ZW-44 with the Marshall AVT150w with OD1 setting (the famouse Marshall crunch tone) and the damn thing just blew the speakers Away!!!!!!! Awsome little box man!

But what are you all doing here???? GO WATCH METALOCALYPSE AND DETHKLOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah..... Stick with the Epiphone LP Standard...... It sounds MUCH better then a LP-100..... But I was REALLY poor at the time and just HAD to have a Les Paul...... But after my EMG upgrades..... it's all good.....

If you have more cash to spend........ then go for the Epiphone Les Paul Custom......

But I'm getting the AVT150 Combo..... NOT the half stack..... If I was getting a half stack, I would have gone for an all-tube..... but I don't have the space and I can't play TOO loud in my "jamming" room....

Oh and to show how METAL Dethklok is....... they OFFICIALLY use DigiDesign, Krank amps, Gibson guitars and Line6 gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how much for Epiphone LP standard? i gotta work it all out so i got my damn savings plan cut out for me.

SHOULD be around RM 2400..... But it's worht every single cent if you love the Les Paul sound...... still not as Warm as a real Gibson...... but pretty damn close.......

In comparison, my LP-100 is about RM1600.....

well i just dropped by harmony in DU today.
epi LP standard is RM2100 before discount.
theres also a cheap brand there called stagg that should be able to give SX some good competition.

Seen it long time ago... always a great morale boost for me.

Anyway, after watching that video for the first time, I kinda reexamined all my techniques and phrasing to make sure I don't sound like that guitarist. Thankfully, I don't.

question about lespauls

does the 1/4" maple cap makes a big impact on the sound a lespaul produces? as compared to a 1/8" veneer

Dunno..... Haven't really heard the diff before.

well with any guitar on distortion you wont notice much.
on clean, then thats where all that shitty wood tone comes out.
so the maple cap helps in offsetting all that mahagony.
