Hi all sifu, Happy CNY.

Now only I realise the changes of the prepaid plan effective from Jan 2014.
Surprising that 3X validity changed to 2X. cry.gif

I have a question, is there any disadvantage if switch to new prepaid plan? hmm.gif

Basically, i gone through FAQ but not T&C. A bit faint on long page of wording. rclxub.gif

same here..very dissapointed!i only use umobile exclusively for data whenever im not on wifi so rm10/month was very good..thats the main reason i choose umobile!now only 20 day!

plus their PAYU data rate also getting expensive..last time 10cent/mb now 20cent/mb..haizzzz!

No choice, nowadays too competitive and telco faces increase of cost pressure.

They want to eat too but we have to save every single cent to the toe.

there's a slight difference between the actual value (by the operator) vs perceived value (by the consumer)

perceived value is the imaginary value hyped by marketing and by the current market/economics.

all telcos do data analysis on all their customers' usage and spending behavior. for umobile, probably they know the 3x validity is causing lesser customers to topup compared to 2x.

remember, all telcos make money faster through prepaid.

lan_86 what plan you bought with "rm10/month" ?? curious to know

Hey anyone experienced your phone can't receive phone calls or messages at all?i think the reason is 0.00 credit in my account which mean i get barred from UM?

I think you must have a minimum balance of RM2. I always try to keep a RM10 balance, just in case.

well, he's data-exclusive user, even if topping up RM10/mth to get 20days validity, he still need to top up more to get a decent UMI28/UMI38 lor (unless he prefer UMI18??) biggrin.gif

but it takes proper planning in topping up cuz there is no rm20 voucher, only rm10, rm30, rm50.

topping via softpin has different validity period (not exactly RM1 = 2days validity), so he cant exactly buy RM15 topup to get 30days validty anyway.

Hi guys,

I have just ported into U Mobile yesterday and currently there is the CNY promo 8% extra credit which ends today and also I will get 15% extra credit per single top up for 6 months.

Does it mean that I can only top up once in each the following denomination RM30, RM50 and RM100? Or will be as long as I top up .. I will get the extra credits ?

So far it is ok .. unfortunately even though the H+ sign is present .. I am getting no internet connection errors on webpages in my office in Jalan Pahang. I subscribed to the UMI48 plan.

Dear all U Mobile users. I am very frustrated with U Mobile so far. There is no customer service number that I can call also, so this making it worst. Or maybe I dunno how to use it, please enlighten me.

Here's my situation. I bought a U Mobile prepaid sim card from 7-Eleven 2 days ago. It got activated within 15 minutes as promised. So far so good.

Then I went online to reload the amount. I used my Maybank2U to transfer to my account. I provide the account number (something that looks like 1.290xxxxx) and of course my U Mobile phone number. I transfered RM30 into that account. I was expecting an immediate top-up. But I waited and waited, still no top up. The next morning I called Maybank, Maybank say that it will take maximum 3 working days to get transferred over.

Ok lor so I waited. Today I got an SMS from UMobile saying that they have received the RM30. But the problem is I still cannot see the amount in my prepaid amount. Can anybody help? Did I do something wrong?

Nope you did nothing wrong, just that must be something delay between bank and the telco company especially during holiday, even though you manage to call umobile before maybank successfully transfer
But now should umobile received the money so you should either wait a while more or call again to verify, but just a recommendation to top up with coupon or dealer like us is more hassle free and able to track the problem
