Guys, any recomendation for a new soundbar preferably with wireless 5.1 ch.
Usage will mainly be netflix, ps4 pro, switch, youtube & spotify.
Pairing with Sony KD65X7000F.
Budget around RM1,000 to RM2,000 range.

Guys the Samsung Q70R at Rm1999, worth it?

i heard q70r sound is alot worse than q80r. there is no downmixing of sound from the rear, this is very bad. so the sound from the back will all be muted.

around 2k.. maybe abit tough. but maybe at 2k q70r is the best one. but if can ikat perut should just go for q80r, senq selling 3399 with 10% ezcredit rebate.

That’s more expensive than my tv! Hahaha. Would love it but a bit too expensive (oh & it’s just for my bedroom btw). What about the Yamaha Yas-209 / Sonos Beam (no sub tho)

those are actually good enuf la.. how much is q60r? i not sure what is the price, maybe u can also look into sony punya. if u wan better sound support like dolby atmos, which i think is a good one because even my lg c9 internal speaker with atmos, the sound is superb especially the positioning.

for samsung and LG there are dedicated up firing speaker, should sound better than sony 1? but how about the bass?

mainly i will use it for Netflix and PS4

Samsung Q70R.

LG SL8Y you need to upgrade the firmware for the BT to work, if it has not been upgraded. Both sound equally good. If you have a Samsung TV, I think Q70R will be a better match, I might be wrong.

I am thinking of getting a bluetooth enabled soundbar for both my laptop and LG C8 TV use. Anyone can recommend me a good one?

The plan is to link the soundbar to my LG C8 TV via HDMI or optical cable and to my laptop via bluetooth or hdmi (possible?)

Is the above setup possible? ie the soundbar should have a switch to toggle between laptop and TV use.

Budget around 2 to 3k. Need Dolby Atmos (main source is from netflix) and of course good quality sound. Many thanks for any advice.

Just to update I've finally get the q90r at rm3.6k from a dealer in Penang.
The soundbar setup is as below
PC > (hdmi2) > q90r > (hdmi arc) > q60r TV

A few things to share.
1. Playing Netflix direct from TV manage to output Atmos (Atmos is shown in display). No extra settings needed.

2. However, I was unable to setup Atmos via Dolby Access as my pc somehow can't select Atmos in Sound > spatial settings. Still not yet solve it. Appreciate if any sifu here can help.

3. Both my phone (installed smart things) and q90r connect to same WiFi and manage to update the main unit without prob. Some extra steps needed to ensure woofer and rear get updated as well. There's no guide or notice given in the app to tell you about it.
To update them: Turn the soundbar on, and wait until there is any text on the display, then press and hold the DOWN button on the remote for about 6 seconds until the display shows UPDATE. The display on the soundbar will cycle UPDATE > BYE > ON. This takes about 5 minutes.

4. The reason I'm plugging in to hdmi2 is because I had lipsync issue when using hdmi1. I have yet to try again after updating. Will update you guys again if anyone interested to know more.
