I got mine at RM4199 (birthday month RM100 less) with 10% rebate store credit from SenQ.

Love the sound so far. Connected my pc to it playing atmos files from pc and netflix also can pass through atmos.

That's great to know. I'm planning to plug in my pc too. Was wondering if any additional software needed to pass through Atmos. Aside from Netflix, planning to play downloaded files too. I know windows store as a Atmos software. Not sure if needed to buy that to enable pass through.

Just go to windows store and download Dolby Access and use VLC to play the files. Go online to search for the settings for your setup. Everything is free. If you need Dolby Access for Headphones would be RM58. I don't need that.

Do you have walls on both sides for the sound to reflect? I was thinking between q70r and q80r.. but my living room does not have a wall on one of the sides, so surround wouldn't really work I guess?
*
No wall on the left to reflect. Windows with full curtain on the right. Yet can still hear the side speakers.

Can hear sound coming from back and top?
*
Didn't buy the rear speakers.

Sound from the top. Haven't heard the sound from the top yet. Maybe fan spinning to fast, ha ha ha.

Will try to play atmos file later.

Need to have rear speaker?
I thought the side speaker will direct sound to listener rear.

Do you know whether MPC-HC (or its fork) bitstream Dolby Atmos by default? Is it a must to buy Dolby Access to send Atmos?

That I'm not sure. Dolby Access is free, you need to pay if you use your headphone for dolby atmos but pc setup is free.

Not a retailer. It's a friend's contact. I have yet to buy coz the seller say it's currently out of stock. I'll update here once I got it and whether or not the seller will still offer this price in public.

By the way just fyi the seller and I are from Penang.

Guys i bought a lg c9 and they give in sl5y soundbar as complimentary.. i am thinking of if they allow me to topup for better sound bar or not. Is SL8Y good one? i don have alot budget for those 3k+ setup..

aiks senq they don allow me to topup becos this is initiative from LG, not senq. Maybe will try it and sell it off lol.

i am torn between LG SL9Y or Samsung q80r soundbar. I saw review mostly q80r is the better choice, but it doesnt have eARC.. Samsung promised 2019 soundbar and TV will update to include eARC but still dont have.. if use LG will have better intergration with TV la..

Go for Q80R. Have been enjoying since.

Yesterday tried out the dobly atmos test videos from youtube, sound like in GSC cinema. The sound separation is very clear and detail. My set up is just a H96 Pro+ android box with installed dolby atmos apk and an old Toshiba smart tv. Connection - H96 to TV with hdmi cable for video, optical cable to sound bar for sound. HDMI ARC connection between TV and sound bar.

Tonight will try the dolby atmos sound through the ARC connection.

Sound quality should come first. Purpose is for good sound quality to accomplish the video quality. Next comes the budget and then only integration. No point having good integration and sound "crap".
