Guys i bought a lg c9 and they give in sl5y soundbar as complimentary.. i am thinking of if they allow me to topup for better sound bar or not. Is SL8Y good one? i don have alot budget for those 3k+ setup..

aiks senq they don allow me to topup becos this is initiative from LG, not senq. Maybe will try it and sell it off lol.

i am torn between LG SL9Y or Samsung q80r soundbar. I saw review mostly q80r is the better choice, but it doesnt have eARC.. Samsung promised 2019 soundbar and TV will update to include eARC but still dont have.. if use LG will have better intergration with TV la..

Just checked that new samsung q800t soundbar is only 3.1.2.. is this a downgrade?

i heard q70r sound is alot worse than q80r. there is no downmixing of sound from the rear, this is very bad. so the sound from the back will all be muted.

around 2k.. maybe abit tough. but maybe at 2k q70r is the best one. but if can ikat perut should just go for q80r, senq selling 3399 with 10% ezcredit rebate.

those are actually good enuf la.. how much is q60r? i not sure what is the price, maybe u can also look into sony punya. if u wan better sound support like dolby atmos, which i think is a good one because even my lg c9 internal speaker with atmos, the sound is superb especially the positioning.

if u only watch netflix those streaming, atmos is only DD+ only whether is shield tube/pro or not. TrueHD atmos is for watching bluray mkv or disc.

Yup, series s is digital only right so for bluray disc is series x.

Hi, anyone can recommend soundbar for small room use? Actually just want to make it sound better than TV speaker, but dont have much room for small bookshelf cos is small place only.

Im looking at sonos beam, but not sure shud spend that much or not. Another yamaha x40a seems okay also. Probably around 2-3k? Or probably can recommend like 1k can get wat, 2k can get what, 3k can get what.

Ah, i still plan go harvey norman have some audition first lol. But seems like beam is the best midrange soundbar.

sonos beam, lazada. but i got it from shopee, slightly expensive after count in cashback from coins and card diff rm20, but can get 18months installment. lazada don have. hopefully it doesnt disappoint

cant wait to try it this is for my working place room, i tried cheap soundbar before, the one i bought my C( and it came as free gift worth 699 i think, but the sound is.... really thin and bad lol. sold it off for like rm500. My own room at home i am using full 5.1.2 setup with speakers, i dont think it will beat my home setup, i only hope this beam can provide decent enough sound based on all the review and comment i saw, reddit or here lol. maybe future will get the sonos sub for more bass.

Tested sonos beam gen 2 via airplay apple music, amaze by the sound from a sound bar. I have personally heard some of the more expensive samsung or lg one, but those sound so much harsher and less full, just good for movie only. Yet to try movie cos no TV, late delivery 😅
