I see most soundbar has 3.5mm input. how's the amplification? i'm just a little worry that i need to crank the volume to max because the input is not a line level signal.

Regarding soundbar that is connected to TV (Sony X7000E) via optical, is it possible to control the volume using the TV remote alone?
Or this is only possible via HDMI-CEC?

I got mine at RM4199 (birthday month RM100 less) with 10% rebate store credit from SenQ.

Love the sound so far. Connected my pc to it playing atmos files from pc and netflix also can pass through atmos.

Do you know whether MPC-HC (or its fork) bitstream Dolby Atmos by default? Is it a must to buy Dolby Access to send Atmos?

Hi guys notice that all the new soundbars doesnt have aux/rca input.

Is there a way to convert aux/rca to optical or hdmi?
*
is your source using aux/rca? some soundbars still have 3.5mm input. u can use 3.5mm-rca cable.

I found out new Sony soundbar nowadays very little hdmi input, unlike the ones I bought few years back, 3 in 1 out

any other brands not so exp with such inputs?
*
it's modern smart TV agenda where they expect u to run everything from the tv itself and output 1 (via ARC) to the soundbar. tongue.gif
this is why AVR has a market.

How do people deal with the issue that the sound volume for YouTube video is much louder than those from Netflix ? Manual adjust it each time when changing app ?
*
fyi, some youtube videos are louder than others. you can check it in nerd stats.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ May 15 2022, 10:44 AM)
Manual adjust each time is the only solution. Actually all sound is kind of equal on louder except Netflix, Netflix is much softer and it is like that always.

Nothing can do about this unless Netflix decide to tune it louder same as others.

This is nothing to do with SoundBar, this is Netflix issue.

some AVR have per input/source volume trim. is there any soundbar with such feature?

what's the cheapest soundbar that can accept 5.1 LPCM audio?
I have checked a few cheap models. they only accept standard Dolby/DTS 5.1, but not uncompressed LPCM.

further search shows Nintendo Switch outputs LPCM surround sound. I think LPCM support is critical for any soundbar that I will buy.

any cheap recommendations?
