Seems like you confused between Primacy 4 vs Primacy 4st. Primacy 4 is used mostly in Europe while Primacy 4st is used in APAC.

There could be some OE Primacy 4 around but in the replacement market Primacy 4st is the one to go for in Malaysia. They are probably using different tread compound but pattern stays the same.

Current price list from my table shows as below:

Kumho Ecsta PS31 225/50R17 345
Goodyear EfficientGrip 225/50R17 420
Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 225/50R17 425
Continental UC6 225/50R17 450
Continental Max Contact 6 225/50R17 458
Michelin Primacy 4st 225/50R17 568
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 225/50R17 (NEW PS5) 630

If price is not an issue I would definitely recommend Primacy 4st. If not MC6 is a close finisher at second place. I made an article about MC6 vs 4st here. I hope this helps you decide.

Thanks.

Just curious performance wise does it differs very much between the two as I previously looking at their PS3 range too? If i am not mistaken country of production was also different right with one made in France and the ST made in Thailand.

Falken also had the same concept where its tires (ZE310) was winning various awards while there also South East Asia version made in Thailand with added "R" behind making it ZE310R. Info is hard to get by if the Thailand made was equally good as European version

Hi, looking into either MC6 or Eagle F1 sport for my civic ketam 215/50R17 to replace the current MC5. Seldom drive fast in wet or dry conditions but like the sporty feel of the current MC5 that has already harden after 4 years.

Michelins are out of my budget with the recent price hike. Appreciate advise from masters here!

Hi epjx31,

a bit of data inconsistency in the site

The continental-ultra-contact-6-vs-michelin-xm2 page lists the XM2+ rolling resistance as D
The michelin-xm2-vs-continental-cc6 page lists the XM2+ rolling resistance as E

gets a little confusing to read.

Nice site btw... i'm surprised how close the pricing is between the XM2+ and Primacy 4st.. and how premium Michelin is in general.

Hey, thanks for your feedback. XM2+ has been updated to D.

There was a change in EU label in 2021 which screws up the labels.

Anyways appreciate your nice compliments.

I'm driving proton x50 (currently using continental UC6 215/55/18). I had replace aftermarket wheels (spec :18x8.5JJ Et+42 PCD5HX114.3). Currently I planning to change my 4 tyres. I'm looking for tyres that more grip in wet/dry. I had ask few tyres shop. They recommend me use 235/50/18. Kindly please advise what size of tyre should i get and any recommended for which tyre to get.

Hi all.......i'm looking to change all 4 tires for my Mitsubishi ASX. Currently its on a heavily worn Michelin Primacy 4 215/60 R17.

Is it better to go for tires specific for SUV, such as Primacy 4 SUV? Any opinion on Continental UC6 SUV, this seems significantly cheaper than Primacy 4 & Primacy 4 SUV

Need some guidance, since i do long distance with famiky in this car. Tq brothers
