215/55R17 now recommend what tyre? Michelin seems a bit too much.
Continental seems like a good choice?

Ok Thanks, I think only left GoodYear EfficientGrip and Continental. Is GY Assurance Triple Max a better one than EG? |

Today went to Klang to get 2pcs of 2nd hand 215/55/17 MC6 for RM180.
What caught my attention was the car that came later. The tyre was Toyo CR1 and pretty new. I'm not too sure what happened but the lady only mention puncture but the puncture was fixed. However one side of the sidewall were all covered by buldging balloons, like over 20. When they took apart the tyre, lots of black dust/particle and I can see nylon/steel rib. Was it because they continue driving the flat tyre? But the surface looks just fine. No sign of melting/crushed rubber. All the tyre wordings are still very clear. |

Anyone uses Goodyear EfficientGrip and Continental UC6/UC7 before, which one is better? I'm not sure to take which one at the end.
Not going to get Michelin as it is too high prices, quoted 520 per tyre. prefer something around 450/pc. Main concern is quietness and comfort. 215/55R17. UC7 quoted 420/pc. EG is 399/pc. So maybe there's a better GY tyre higher one tire than EG that focus on comfort and quietness. This post has been edited by prokiller1199: Dec 26 2022, 12:24 AM |

Hi, can suggest 195/55/R15 tyres that are not so noisy but doesn't compromise a lot on grip? Currently using Hankook Kinergy and it's noisy. The tyre roar quite loud on highways. This post has been edited by ToGMochi: Dec 26 2022, 06:43 PM babisotong liked this post
