With that budget, Michelin PS3.

EDIT: Oops I read wrong, thought you were asking for tyre recommendation, sorry. Don't know any shops around Puchong.

Haha...Is my question not clear, so is Michelin PS3 the better among this price?

Probably the best option in terms of performance and safety for your size actually since your budget is quite generous.

Hi guys, some tyre shops are selling PS4 which are made in China. Will there be any issue using these tyres in Malaysia? Eg. climate, etc.
I think the official manufacturer for Malaysia's Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is from Thailand.

Quoteing from my regular workshop, "China made PS4 are better in terms of tyre balancing compared to Thailand made. Very minimal balancing needed."

I still asked for Thailand made eventually though...
*
Any particular reason why you prefer Thailand-made tyres over China-made?

Off-topic from the guy you are replying to, but can you explain to me what these numbers mean? Thanks.

looks like trying to set up for non-conti, non road-racer.... biggrin.gif

my comment for normal easy driving yeah...

top row...your front camber very -ve, this will wear your insides faster and maybe more understeer if using smaller wheels. I prefer -0.3 to -0.5 camber. toe he'll probably adjust all to slightly -'ve left/right and total toe neutral or -ve

bottom row... toe angle within range, but I really prefer slightly -ve...camber looks ok, although -0.71 show as red. I prefer -0.3 to -0.8 camber...

if my car I would pay extra and adjust front camber.

what if don't adjust front camber... because left and right quite "balance", probably no real issue other than steering feel and tyre wear

Oooh alright, thanks! It's an E46. Will get the alignment and camber done according to your suggestions after I change my control/lower arms.

Did my alignment after changing my lower arms and asked to do the camber as well, but they said it can't be done on my car.

Is it okay to leave the measurements as indicated on the screen? My stupid ass can't seem to understand what the numbers represent on the screen compared to the previous image...

Oh 225/45/17, common size then. Aside from the Falken FK510, I'd also recommend Goodyear F1 Sport, should be good value for money too, maybe even cheaper than FK510 with similar performance.
*
PS4 > Goodyear F1 Sport > MC6 > FK510?

Ya I think F1S, FK510, and MC6 are similar, all slightly below PS4. Price wise F1S seems to be winner of value for money now.
*
Based on current Mudah/Shopee prices, MC6 is the cheapest, by around 100 per piece for clearance stock and 50 per piece for standard as compared to F1S. Can't seem to find FK510 easily. Size 225/45 R17.

Is your car using lower sport springs? If so then just change back to std. Otherwise can change tire size to 225/55/17 so the ground clearance will increase by about 0.5cm, might help a bit to clear humps, but it will look a bit bulky.
*
QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 23 2021, 10:55 AM)
Never did any modification to my Sonata, so should be std springs. I doubt increasing clearance by 0.5cm (~0.2 inch only) would make much difference. Anyway thanks for the suggestion. Just have to continue driving over hump very slowly and at an angle.
*
Could it be worn out springs due to age? How old is the car?

Springs last a very long time so no, shouldn't be.
No need, should still clear the body.
*
I see. But wouldn't gravity still affect the height of the springs, even though they are perfectly fine and usable.

They are already designed to support the weight so would not sag for a very long time.

Oh dang hmm. hmm.gif

Planning to do a full suspension refresh for my 18 year old car, including all the rear bushes and differential bushes, center bearing, guibo, and steering coupler. Would you consider giving it a fresh new set of springs as well or would it outlast all the new parts combined? Haha

My backup car's rear tyres are due for a change.

Size is 195/55 R15.

Need help deciding between these 2 tyres at literally the same price point @ RM135.

Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2.
Kumho Ecsta PS31.

Which would you pick and why.

Guys, looking to replace my wheel... Left 2mm on my rear when I service my car...
Currently using hankook v12 evo2 profile 195 55 15..
Want to find back this model but not much in market.. Not sure izzit eol but website still have this model.. Few shop said no stock..
Any other recommendation? Budget 2xx each..
Hankook prime 3 new but not sure on traction.. As my driving style is aggressive with cornering also during rain.. Current model serve me well..

Thinking 2 solution as below..
1. Upgrade all my rim to 17 inch take ventus prime 3 205 45 17..(budget not sure if I able to get around 1.6k-1.8k including trade in my wheel)
2. Change some better tyre with 15 inch 195 55 15 budget 2xx each ..

Looking forward for suggestion..
*
Since your budget is already RM2xx each, just get the Pilot Sport 3. Best in class.

Problem is there's not really much options for the size you're looking for.
