QUOTE(Jo@NJS @ Mar 3 2022, 01:53 AM) Anyone here purchase tyres from Performance Tyre Malaysia-PTM in Shah Alam? The reviews in fb, google, shopee and lazada all 4/5 stars you can go to their shop if you see the price is good, since they have included balancing and alignment, if you think their alignment is not good then you can just go to your preferred workshop to do itno matter which shop you go, it is best to ask them what's the manufactured year of the tyres they are giving you, and when you see tyres yourself, inspect it for defect and check the manufactured date, that's what i do all the time Jo@NJS liked this post

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Mar 11 2022, 11:46 PM) Depends on your priorities. Does narrower tyres provide better comfort? If you prioritize comfort and cost saving then stay 16. If you prioritize sharper handling and looks then upgrade to 17. I thought wider tyres are slightly more comfortable but they are negligible. Tyre profile is more important to comfort than width. |

QUOTE(ru40342 @ Mar 12 2022, 01:00 AM) Does narrower tyres provide better comfort? Indeed. Sidewall height is important in providing some level of comfort.I thought wider tyres are slightly more comfortable but they are negligible. Tyre profile is more important to comfort than width. 16 inch tyres has higher sidewall height compared to 17 inch tyres of similar wheel fitment/size (wheel diameter). Hence, 16 inch tyres are more comfortable than its 17 inch counterpart. |

QUOTE(yumsung @ Mar 15 2022, 05:00 PM) I'm having the same rubber chipping problem on my blu-earth es32 within 2.5 years (<50kM) Any latest alignment readings print out on your ES32 for sharing?Did not encounter such damage in the past 2 sets of tyre, i.e; ecopia/CC5 (stock) My hunch is a lot of tyre wear comes from less than ideal (mis)alignment angles. It happens to all 4 tyres? Done tyre rotations? What car and/or suspension systems? This post has been edited by zeng: Mar 15 2022, 07:51 PM |

I just did the rotation recently once I found out the chipping. I should rotate it much earlier. The tyre sifu told me I'm not the only one facing this es32 chipping problem. btw, I'm just normal careful myvi driver. Fast and furious is not my style. |

QUOTE(yumsung @ Mar 15 2022, 11:59 PM) It happened on my front tyres. Rubber compound properties of ES may contribute to chipping IDK, but the above tyre photo (not yours) points to outside edge wear which are alignment-related , made worse being a front steering axle tyre.I just did the rotation recently once I found out the chipping. I should rotate it much earlier. The tyre sifu told me I'm not the only one facing this es32 chipping problem. btw, I'm just normal careful myvi driver. Fast and furious is not my style. Tyre rotation would spread out 'abnormal' wear (if any among 4 tyres, not resolve it) related to specific location (of Left Front or Right Front etc) camouflaging problem in a specific location of axle. |

Then, I shall check the alignment properly in next replacement. ![]() |
