I'm having the same rubber chipping problem on my blu-earth es32 within 2.5 years (<50kM)
Did not encounter such damage in the past 2 sets of tyre, i.e; ecopia/CC5 (stock)

Any latest alignment readings print out on your ES32 for sharing?

My hunch is a lot of tyre wear comes from less than ideal (mis)alignment angles.

It happens to all 4 tyres? Done tyre rotations?

What car and/or suspension systems?

It happened on my front tyres.
I just did the rotation recently once I found out the chipping.
I should rotate it much earlier.
The tyre sifu told me I'm not the only one facing this es32 chipping problem.

btw, I'm just normal careful myvi driver.
Fast and furious is not my style.

Rubber compound properties of ES may contribute to chipping IDK, but the above tyre photo (not yours) points to outside  edge wear which are alignment-related , made worse being a front steering axle tyre.

Tyre rotation would spread out 'abnormal' wear (if any among 4 tyres, not resolve it) related to specific location (of Left Front or Right Front etc) camouflaging problem in a specific location of axle.

Mine also edge wear (chipping) sad.gif .
Then, I shall check the alignment properly in next replacement.
