How long you have been using the card.
To make your application sure approved, make sure this is your second year using the card, else it will be harder hmm.gif

I prefer to use 2 EA forms on this, applying using few years back and increasing limit using another EA, easier to prove that I'm able to pay in full amount.
Or another way is original CL are rm5000 and every month I'm using rm3000 then managed to pay in full before due date, then chances aso higher.
Or I worked a lot of OTs, then the payslip are showing better figures thumbup.gif
If normal office workers I doubt can success on this, unless the initial CL are low flex.gif
Anyway, my CL being increased are the bank helped to increase, I never apply for it whistling.gif
*
And also checked for the month-to-month bill payment. Never owe a single cent and always paid in advance. Utilisation is more than 50% .. Wondering if the CS will increase my credit limit by not filling up the physical application form or not, as I am not free to visit their branch.

Totally agreed with you, bank should keeping for offset GST when spending 10k and above. I use this card quite often since it is benefit for 1% cash back unlimited, compare to others card, this is good for others categories spend I would say, probably will keep this card for daily spend.

My wife has apply for another one because of free cabin luggage, I have asked the agent about GST, he said first year is waiver and following year need to pay by yourself (as usual) and he said again maybe bank will do something promotion about GST RM50 for later time. Hope so  blush.gif

Initial #
15March2014: Applied OCBC World MasterCard at booth in shopping mall for
- 1.2% rebate (backup to Wise and MBB2Plat)
- 2x KLIA premium lounge access (next month go vacation can use)
- free 20" cabin luggage (hopefully next month go vacation can use)
- Freebie: Canvas Tote
- RM50 rebate (to offset GST)

Annual fee, promoter unable to confirm for 2nd year waiver because card is new. Advise to call before card expiry to request waiver, or else opt to cancel the card.

Was told normal approval cycle is 2 weeks. Card will be sent via normal post (not PosLaju) - reason given was that customers need not to be at home to have card delivered, else have to make a separate trip to PosLaju to collect.

Was told luggage will be sent 4-6 weeks (he said so far very "on time" delivery) after qualifying spend (3 swipes within 1st 45 days).

Update #1
March 22: Received Welcome SMS from OCBC. Card and PIN on the way! 1 week approval time.

Update #2
April 11: Received luggage trolley bag. 3 weeks free gift fulfillment time after 3 swipes. Less than 1 month from card application time.

Same thing happened to me a a few years ago (when they first launched Titanium with 5% cash back).
I was holding other credit cards and definitely fulfilled minimum income requirement and has no bad debts.
But got rejected. They couldn't disclose the reason when I called up CS. Gave up on them that time.

Come 2014, I applied for OCBC World Mastercard and got approved without problem.

Based on what I read in forum, you can submit your appeal if you really want the card.

Ah, read one of the pinned topics in this forum and saw this:

"For cardholders earning RM36,000 per annum and less, the following would be applicable:
Cardholders can only hold credit cards from a maximum of two issuers."

Guess that's why.

did you check the t&c? i can't be sure, but i think it should have a clause whereby you may need to use it for at least 6 months or something like that?

No, about GST charge, you have to pay it first, and they will rebate to you on second or third month if you fulfill their requirement.
