Need some advice from sifu here, i just register my company under category ENTERPRISE, then i want to open my company account, i had check with maybank & hong leong bank but seems they required a lot of things ie Introducer which need to have own company operate more than 1 year but i don't have this kind of connection.
Did any know how to open a company bank account without introducer? or which bank requirement are low. |

QUOTE(Aztec @ Sep 11 2015, 09:44 AM) anyone here has any experience doing clothing business? im planning to sell sports clothing from world renowned brands at more than half the price of the actual product (latest stuff too)..not like the sportsdirect crap which is out of season or those warehouse sale eg: Tshirt RM120 at the boutique, we buy at rm30, we sell at RM50 (40% profit). Profit margin can go as high as 70% for some items. Suppliers I have (funny what u can find at dodgy areas of the Klang Valley)..just need a partner for marketing and capital maybe target market is everyone, but trying to aim for Chinese as im 99% sure they have no idea how to get these items I have a feeling this is gonna be a big hit as judging from the response of my sports loving family member and some close friends they were buying these clothings without even thinking of the price because its so worth it..lol so anyone keen to join me and try to come up with something? |

My friend recommended me http://www.intistele.com SMS sending service. He says that it is s very nice and reliable one. What do you think about it? Have you ever tried some services like this? What content are you going to blast out via the SMS message? |

Hi everyone, my dad is working in steel industry (fabrication for factories, such as trolleys, racks, etc. All our product are custom order, no brochure for item list). His business is not doing well in the past few years mainly due to the economy and political issue (most of his skilled worker trained by him are sent back to their origin country due to permit problem). Recently I came in to help him manage the business after I finished my degree last year.
The sales is not so good (production wise is another problem, current workers are working way too slow and available skilled worker out there are way too expensive and rare in current state of economy). This business is doing very well 10-15 years ago during the economy boom (199x-2005), after all the big factories move out from Malaysia and the opportunities is lesser and lesser. Marketing in this industry doesn't seem like going anywhere since our target is mostly factories. We had tried creating websites and Facebook pages to show our manufacturing products and track records but it doesn't seemed to help. Do note that this is a SME sized business, we had only about 3 workers in production, 1 lorry driver while me and my dad are taking the role on getting sales and all the management stuff. The overhead each month is ridiculously high (rental and salaries for worker) and the average margin for the business nowadays is about 30-40% only. Payment collection is another headache part and the credit term is always 60-90 days and our cash flow is getting very low. Do you guys think this kind of business is still workable in this country? |

Recently I came in to help him manage the business after I finished my degree last year. Local steel manufacturers are dying. Even the big boys like southern steel, Ann joo etc are suffering. The gov went on till an extend that they imposed anti-dumping rule to control the price of steel here as they were heaving dumped by China players. The sales is not so good (production wise is another problem, current workers are working way too slow and available skilled worker out there are way too expensive and rare in current state of economy). Not only that, you are working in a very niche market, a fabricator for certain products and fabricates as per order. That shows that you have low order book. Let's not forget that it's a highly competitive industry. I have seen customers changing their biz direction. Maybe a trader instead of a fabricator since you are moving towards marketing now. Low overhead cost which suits yr biz operation too. Just my humble opinion. |
