Hi everyone.

As per post before 1 year ago on this same thread, I've posted in finding more investor to invest in a new concept cafe in Ipoh. It has been a great venture now and our next branch is opening in KL Uptown Damansara, Mid Valley and Atria Mall. Anyone keen in venturing into a new concept of food business that is specialized in loose leaf tea can PM me for more details. There are only two franchise units that are available for invest which is in Mid Valley and Atria Mall. Uptown Damansara unit is currently fully funded. Investors have the options to buy the whole units or invest in portions. For more details, please PM me. Thanks you.

To all biz owner,

If you would like to increase the price for next year, what would you tell your customer ? Would you worry of losing your current customer once you increase the price?

Ya I use CIMB current account..so far so good. My only dissatisfaction is that I prefer Maybank2u to CIMBClicks lol. When I opened mine like 2 years ago, they said no need introducer if your company is more than a few months old (I think 3). Don't remember the minimum deposit, but it was under RM1k...I think RM500. I don't know about now.

Hi guys,

Three weeks ago, I have opened a new shop in my local town, selling stuffs like local jamu products. Business is picking up, my shop is located near a local malay kampung so Jamu shop business is pretty good~ rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

But currently my customers is more towards the local females, mothers or young ladies like that. And now i wanna try to "lure in" a new target group. You see, a local primary school is located next to my shoplot, and everyday lots of pupils bypassing my shop to go home (i think they stay at the local village).

I trying to find some new products, but i can only think of soft drinks, packet drink, snacks or even ice cream. But this kinda stuff is quite low in profits right? i mean the most they can earn is a few cent a pkt? What u guys think?

If you thought of going into the market, go for it. Seriously, you got nothing much to lose. If you want an exact answer, there will be never.

I could say, yes, can do, because I see so many mushrooming and some are doing extremely well.

I can say no, stay away, it could be a momentary trend and the gov might shut it down soon.

There is possibilities in every single business, you gotta believe in yourself, believe in your business plan and market it HARD!

If you're serious, and in Selangor, I'm looking for a vape vendor in my mamak shop @ Cheras. Very low startup cost, since you don't need to renovate a shop. Call me if interested. 0164193238

Talk to them now. All will be reluctant with the increase, but only some will be downright angry. Rational people understand that price is not fixed forever.

For software/service business that I'm in, I'll consider 'grandfathering' certain customer and keep them at current price point. To make it work your way, add a clause such as 'if-and-only-if you commit to longer commitment(1year contract)'. You'll get larger sum of money upfront, and I think that is always good for business.

Hi everyone, my dad is working in steel industry (fabrication for factories, such as trolleys, racks, etc. All our product are custom order, no brochure for item list). His business is not doing well in the past few years mainly due to the economy and political issue (most of his skilled worker trained by him are sent back to their origin country due to permit problem). Recently I came in to help him manage the business after I finished my degree last year.

The sales is not so good (production wise is another problem, current workers are working way too slow and available skilled worker out there are way too expensive and rare in current state of economy). This business is doing very well 10-15 years ago during the economy boom (199x-2005), after all the big factories move out from Malaysia and the opportunities is lesser and lesser.

Marketing in this industry doesn't seem like going anywhere since our target is mostly factories. We had tried creating websites and Facebook pages to show our manufacturing products and track records but it doesn't seemed to help.

Do note that this is a SME sized business, we had only about 3 workers in production, 1 lorry driver while me and my dad are taking the role on getting sales and all the management stuff. The overhead each month is ridiculously high (rental and salaries for worker) and the average margin for the business nowadays is about 30-40% only. Payment collection is another headache part and the credit term is always 60-90 days and our cash flow is getting very low. Do you guys think this kind of business is still workable in this country?
*
Of course workable, it depends on how u manage the company only

some of my clients still doing fine but mostly they all venture into oversea beside local market
