QUOTE(kenneths88 @ Dec 2 2013, 02:01 PM) Just want to ask sifu here. imho, advertisement is essential to promote your product. even McD, a well-known global brand still engage in consumer targeted advertising.A trading Business A trader and A sole distributor. If a sole distributor do not set a retail price for a product, no advertisement done and nothing on the product, mainly based on word of mouth only. Is that worth marketing the product? Is it wise to advertise, promote and having exhibition? Thanks just want to ask further, what do you mean by "do not set a retail price for a product"? |

QUOTE(kaiserwulf @ Dec 5 2013, 10:08 AM) Hey brick and mortar biz owners... am planning to set up a website to show company services and profile... so far how useful has it been to you? depends on how well navigation your website is.Doubled your sales? if it's simple efficient and visitors can find what they want in less than 3 clicks, then good. max 5 clicks. if more than 5 clicks, then people won't bother to click further since your business is about services. QUOTE(LawrenceTan @ Dec 6 2013, 10:57 AM) What did you ask them to recommend you? spot on. I had replied you in PM however if you are expect build a website and double your sales i will say it is too optimism. Brand are accumulate are scalable, as the time growth and proper management it will illustrate greater benefit from marginal utility, eventually it will benefit to your business. website is indeed a tool to promote your product/services but entirely it depends on the website management/content. QUOTE(suadrif @ Jun 23 2014, 10:25 AM) Hi Guys hi there.i am now trying my fourth business, but this time i am starting with smaller capital. now it have been for 2 weeks, no gain yet but still hoping for the best in next 4 months Title: REDCLAW PROJECT Capital : RM500 a. 1x Air Pump 20L/min - RM30 b. 1x set of Mini Package consist of 6 adult lobsters, 6 premature lobsters and portable air pump - RM290 c. 4x rectangular basin - RM20 each. Total RM80 d. 3x set of batteries size D - RM12 each set. Total RM36 e. 2 feet of PVC pipe for lobster hiding spot - RM5 f. 2 x crab cuisine pellet for lobster food - RM14 each. total RM28 (recurring on monthly basis) g. Other miscellaneous stuff h. Minor renovation = Not required since i am putting all the basin in one of my house room Workers : No workers Opinion : Slow profit earning and need to focus on market or alternative buyers. But the maintenance cost is really minimal since lobsters are high disease resistance. No need special attention since u only need to feed them and let them breed. Expected Monthly Income : Considering I have 3 pairs for adult lobster and each pair will give about 80-500 eggs. Since I am newbie and lot more to learn, there is only 30%-50% chance of success in breeding the lobster babies. 3 pairs x minimum 80 eggs x 30% success chance = 72 of lobster babies these babies will mature within 4 months with average price of RM40 each. So, RM40 x 72 / 4 months = RM720 per month I know it sounds very low but looking at how it been done, i can consider this is my passive side income sounds interesting. mind to furnish me on this project? sounds good for a spare time hobby. |

hi guys,
while loitering around find for ideas, i found this website. https://www.quirky.com/influence (not mine, all rights reserved to quirky.com) from what i understand, it's basically a website for u to submit your ideas. no funding from your side. you submit ideas, they vote for the idea, they have a team who will design/craft the end product. then they will try to sell your idea/product in the market. heard that it's gonna be a profit sharing thingy. can we start this in Msia? sounds a lil like kickstarter. just that you dont do any fundraising. |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Aug 18 2015, 01:51 PM) This set up is merely to rent a retail lot at a Sunway Putra Mall dealing with baby products. Can you or anybody else explain: This post has been edited by ShinG3e: Aug 18 2015, 02:46 PM1) What is the process of registering a Sdn Bhd company step by step? go to Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia SSM. visit their website to locate their branch. your malls usually they will take in Sdn Bhd. Hence, need 4 director signature and state the shares % held. 2) Which authorities do we need to deal with? SSM. after that get company chop. then open bank acc. then visit mall management with proposal. 3) What documents are required? IC. you can hire a secretary firm to assist you on that. 3) What are the different kinds of loans on offer and by which agency? We just need about RM200K. there are plenty. for starter, try looking into SME bank's loan. |

QUOTE(Aztec @ Sep 11 2015, 01:59 PM) definately online with the low entry barrier..and also to get the word out there initially..fb,instagram if its ecommerce based then you would need ecommerce plus mobile friendly website. if things go well then we should be looking at pop up shops at bazaars and stuff like that product photoshoot is essential to make the item look convincing. FB would be a better platform. instagram will be tier 2. focus on branding. |

QUOTE(togomifi @ Sep 9 2015, 10:07 AM) haha selling burger seems to be a good start as part time haha.. applied SME loan before it cancel it last. reasoning is because they work so slow that even you managed to secure the location, they still take their sweet time to release the loan.my question is on the SME loan or grant from government? anyone apply before? also, imagine you apply january 2014. by january 2015 still haven't release the loan yet although product presentation is done, Q&A etc etc. their excuse is that they still need to valuate the visibility of the idea although proven successful record. if you have a strong solid idea, find cradle fund instead. don't go with SME loan. they will ask you to attend the training course which you need to pay in return delaying your funding. bad move. |

Hi guys,
Been lurking in this thread for quite some time and I have to say that alot of entrepreneurs lurking around here. So, best place to ask would be here. I'm looking for potential partners to engage with regarding both selling and marketing for branded original sports apparel. Currently, we are selling fully on FB. Purchased big bundles in 2 batches. Both already breakeven and running on profits now due to higher profit margin and sports apparel demand in Malaysia. And of course, best part being a partner is that you get to select all the best/latest apparel items for your own use before you decide to sell it to the market. If you are interested, do PM me. I appreciate it more if you can PM me with your marketing proposal on how you can expand our current client base. Cheers! This post has been edited by ShinG3e: Mar 30 2016, 05:05 PM |

QUOTE(irenetansayshi @ Jul 15 2016, 04:14 PM) Hi Sifus-sifus try checking our wix or shopify if you would like to start a ecommerce.I am no experience in business so I'm here to ask for advises. I have an idea and willing to commit to online business. Right now i have idea and i have fund but i duno how should i start with. Should i pay website starter firm to do one package for me to handle myself or should i learn up the method to start a website? It seems to me that both are having tradeoff, it is only trading money for expertise or learn up expertise myself but it would be tiring. Any suggestion? or just try building up a free website. personally i would recommend FB + instagram. |
