Next time, send a letter/fax/email stating that you are terminating the card with immediate effect

my experience is that , terminating cards by fill up online form is more effective than go to branch to cancel card. sweat.gif

better to cancel it at branch. Customer Service took the card and cut it in front of me. settle.

look up for the credit card which u interested there.
sometimes they have cashback promotions, they will bank in the cashback into ur BANK ACCOUNT upon approval of the CC.
however, do clarify with the bank personnel when they call u, to confirm the details of the iMoney cashback promotion.

Just got an SMS yesterday get rm500 cashback if spend rm30k on any scb card from 15 april to 15 June limited to first 100 customers. This equates to about 1.7% cashback which is not too bad. I called their call center aqnd they confirmed i still get to collect my miles on my worldmiles mastercard. so the value is probably closer to 2-2.5%

Good time to start paying those university admission bills.

I received an SMS giving RM50 cashback with 3 swipes of any amount. But I don't see it in their website. Shall call them later to verify

planning to get this card to replace my ocbc titanium card
may i know how the 5% cashback is count? i only seee no cashback on petrol/insurance..
will i get 5% rebate when i pay my utilities bill?
cant get any info....certain card only giving cashback on retail purchase but not bill payment...

yes, u will get cashback for everything else (including ur utility bills) except petrol and insurance..
the cashback is counted from 1st - end of the month every month.

spend 500, u get 2% (capped at 10)
spend 800, u get 3% (capped at 25)
spend 1500, u get 5% (capped at 50)

petrol and insurance can help u to reach ur target, but no cashback will be given on these transactions.

for the second 800.. the website states 833... rm800 or rm833 ?...

Not really la. Just 2 parts to this story.

Part 1 spend to qualify for cashback. Got 3 tiers.

Spend Rm500 and qualify for 2% cashback up to RM10 on all retail spend
Spend Rm800 and qualify for 3% cashback up to RM25 on all retail spend
Spend Rm1500 and qualify for 5% cashback up to RM50 on all retail spend

Retail spend is anything that is not petrol or insurance. Hope this clarifies

rm1500 can be RM1000 retail spending + rm500 petrol = RM50 cashback OR Rm1500 retail spending

part 2 is Rm800 & RM833 (that is confusing)
