Damn sc! Called them to cancel my cc TWICE since last month, they keep telling you someone will call you in 7 working days to confirm cancelation, until today no a single call from them some more charging me monthly fees, never ever use their bank anymore
*
better to cancel it at branch. Customer Service took the card and cut it in front of me. settle.

If I request to cancel my card with pending annual fee..  Do I need to pay 1st or can cancel without paying annual fee?
*
I called to waive annual fee first, and make sure the AF waived before cancel. That's what I did previously.

Thanks ronron. Will do the same.  SC send me new cc., then now charging me af. What a tactic...
*
Welcome.
Call CS to waive annual fee, normally the CS will ask u to swipe 3 times first . Once u swipe 3 times, call again to ask for it. It take 3 days to reflect in your account.

Am curious about the SC Cashback card.

Why nobody is recommending it? hmm.gif

Seems a good alternative now that M2C is cutting their 5% CB off.

within calendar month,

Spent below RM500, get nothing.

spent >RM500-832, exclude petrol & insurance, get RM10 cashback. (minimum RM500, 2%)

I know.

It's seems simple.

1k retail should be easy.

My parent's + relatives groceries already reach 1k per month. Since M2C revoked weekend 5% CB, I am destined to hit the 1k target already.

The balance 500, can use for anything.

And it's 1,5k retail, minimum 1k on retail exclude petrol.... From their website, no?
*
yes, u need to hit RM1500 to triggle 5% cashback. if below RM1500, u only get 3%

Lazada?

I mentioned RinggitPlus wor?

What did you get from SC?

If it's good, I apply through their webbie only la  blush.gif
*
if not mistaken, previously welcome gift from SC website is u can get cash back of RM150.

the RM200 Lazada voucher is good, but the Lazada is not good. I bought item previously from Lazada, sent me wrong item.

Hey, sorry to bother you but I have few last questions.

Already submitted my application via online.

At the end of the application, got an option to submit the documents.

I also received an email from SC (automated) which states that I could send my docs to an email (CCOnline.Documents@sc.com)

I recalled last time I emailed the given email, I did not even receive any news regarding my application.

Should I wait for them to call me before submitting anything? I lazy want to submit everything but later macam no news like that  whistling.gif

Thanks again.
*
You can wait for them to call you or you can call them up and quote the application number when u applied.

Email to the officer directly if he/she wants more document. Don reply to the general line email.

I think nowadays every bank have the epf machine to print on the spot right? maybe you should ready it in hand just in case if the bank don't have the epf machine.

How does the sc cash back card works... I read that it is tier base 2%, 3% then 5%... so if i spent 1500, first 800 cash back @ 2%, then 801~1500 cash back @3% and finally 1500 and above cash back @ 5%? Is my understanding correct?
*
once u reach RM1500, you will get RM50 cashback

this card good for u to buy non-essential item, for example : buy 1 luxury bag cost u RM1500, u confirm get RM50 cash back. But if u spent RM1500 in any other card with 0.2 / 0.3% cashback which only give u RM3 / RM4.50 cash back.

QUOTE(okyjace @ Jul 29 2015, 05:35 PM)
Just sharing my feedback on the JustOne credit card and puzzling policies of StanChart Malaysia. I applied this credit card last year because I was attracted to the petrol cashback. Application was approved no problems with a limit of 6K which I found surprising given my Maybank cards which give me a limit of 40K. After a few months, got a letter saying the limit revised downwards to 4K which is less than the amount I was spending on the card. I heard SCB Malaysia was cutting back because the bank isn't doing well, so I didn't bother to make noise - so just spend on the other cards loh. Then last month,  got someone call from SCB asking me to spend more to qualify for some promotion they are running. So I told him how to spend more when you reduce my credit limit. I told him my monthly take home salary is a few times the credit limit. Even more perplexing is that my salary is banked in SCB each month. So I told him to increase the limit first, then I have no issue spending more on the card. Now just a few minutes ago, I received an SMS from SCB saying they reject the increase in credit limit. Sorry long story, just had to vent.
*
yup, previously when I first apply Standard Chartered credit card, the bank only give me 4k credit limit saja. then later drop my limit to 3.5k . ( i am like wat the f**k).
few years later ,I apply additional card of Standard Chartered (cash back gold ). Credit limit increase only to 5K.

but credit limit is nothing important for me la. as long as the benefit is good.

Looks like I'm not the only one with this situation. I got the card for the petrol cashback. But not easy to spend rm700 each month on petrol to qualify for 10%.
*
Yes, that's why I take the cash back gold instead of the just one to replace the previous silver color business card from SC.

hard to achieve the spending requirement of JustOne card
