As long as bank doesn't release money, don't worry about late charge. Bank just waiting for official claim bg developer than they will start charge buyer

Dear friends, just a noob question.

For any new property that one has placed a booking fee, do we need to comply the 14 day period to pay the 10% deposit or we can ignore it and just wait for the developer to call up to start paying the 10% deposit?

Appreciate your feedback.

just called lawyer regarding my loan disbursement because my due date was on the 9th April. the delay is coming from the developer. they just gave the Geran for the land to lawyer on the 14th. Lawyer said no need to afraid of the penalty charge. if they claim the penalty then lawyer will provide letter

You can ignore it...BUT..remember the 90 days grace period for the progress payment is from booking date. Later don't blame yourself when there is late penalty except like the current one the delay to release the land title due to developer.
