coz the effective frequency is 800Mhz/2 since its DDR(Double Data Rate), so if its 667Mhz ram then 333Mhz in Cpu/z

Hey guys something strange..

I bought a pair of hyper X pc6400 but its shows pc5300 in cpu-z...the box and the ram itself shows pc6400 though..hahahaha..

any thoughts?

huh? i dont think kingston mislabeled their products. is that what SPD gave u? check ur settings.

iinm there is team dark xtreem and team xtreem. to be honest i dont know anything about the "dark" version or what is the differnce but for xtreem i know it cant go up to 1000mhz on 4-4-4-10 timing.

the only difference i know is the working vdimm. for dark version is up to 2.1 only but xtreem is 2.2v.

imo all value ram are the same if u dont OC them. get KVR or cosair should be good enough.
