QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jan 18 2008, 12:18 AM) yes as u tighten the timings u need to up the Vdimm. hope u dont mind me asking...when looking for tight timings, is the timing lowering thing just a hit n try stuff ... or is there anymore prefered option to be prioritised 1st? lets say 5-5-5-15... which one part of the four is the one dat i shud concentrate?

QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jan 18 2008, 12:55 AM) hmm u can try 4-4-4-10 TCL-Trcd-Trp-Tras, try to reduce your Trcd, Trp, and Tras as your Tcl cant go any lower than 4, since its not performance ram. oh...ok ok ... understood... thanks a lot bro.... btw just to double confirm... is the test i used is correct? or shud i use memtest? or u can recommend? hehe...

QUOTE(BlackThyra87 @ Jun 25 2008, 08:18 AM) just got my Ballistix Tracers from shawty last nite. tested them, and found out that they are not as good as it used to be @2.2v i can only push up to 458MHz (916 DDR, 1:1) with 5-4-4-12.cant even boot at that speed with 4-4-4-12 .. while my D9GKX can do it absolutely with no sweat @ 2.0v... is it the ram or my P35-DS3 is holding it out? tried various tweaking but none helps. Refer to my sig for my specs. so the rumors that the 1gb modules chips got changed is true then, and high density modules are useless for OC (cant expect more like before - low vdimm @ 9xx) any comments? i guess that is just the norm for the tracers... had one last time on the p35-ds3 as well n it craps out at 990mhz 5-5-5-15 with 2.2vdimm but after that i changed to normal ballistix on the same mobo and it can go around 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 on stock vdimm

QUOTE(gamers maniac @ Jun 27 2008, 02:24 PM) anyone remember 'burn in' process? my previous bh5 & bh6 able to run 250mhz 2,2,2,5 after burn in process. my q is, can ddr2 or d9 able to be train in burn in process? as far as i have tried... normally burn-in for ram doesnt really gives me better OCability

try increase ur tREF..... its very normal to get this kinda score cos ur divider is not 1:1.... if ur divider is 1:1 at that speed i m pretty sure it can hit over 9k....but u'll need a proc which can do 500fsb though... n then...higher speed is always better than tighter timing... go read kmarc's guide for more understanding

QUOTE(Hoodlums @ Jul 3 2008, 02:01 PM) Team Dark Xtreem PC2 6400 4GB Kit (DDRII 800 2GBx2) is good for OC or not? iirc the team dark is not d9 chip...shud be promos instead.... QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Jul 3 2008, 05:14 PM) iinm there is team dark xtreem and team xtreem. to be honest i dont know anything about the "dark" version or what is the differnce but for xtreem i know it cant go up to 1000mhz on 4-4-4-10 timing. @gamer maniac this is what i got so far with xtreem. since i think ur ram is better than mine so i guess u can go further. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh138/Ollee87/RAMMax-1.jpgbro...ur link to ur SS need some editing

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jul 4 2008, 06:25 PM) ProMOS is not available on 2GB stick. ProMOS can only be found on 512MB & 1GB stick. Thus, the Team Xtreem Dark DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 4GB Kit is not using ProMOS. hmm...any idea what the 2gb stick will be? btw, what happened to ur status?
