It's the standard connection error if I'm not mistaken, when you tried to logon onto DDM with proxy.

If only you've been to C85...the amount of Kancolle stuffs over there...wow. Even the big companies didn't miss out the opportunity. Thanks to them, I've turned into a full Kancolle feg in matter of months

yep, my maiden journey there. and will definitely return again one day. you should have seen the inside of our luggage bags

same here though, it pretty much went up to the level of my interest to vocaloids. and kancolle really took the world by the storm. Less than 1 year and yet so much recognition, and I don't see it's dying down anytime soon.

But really, 3-2-A is the one of the best grinding spot especially when you have a sub. I've been spamming that map all day long trying to level my cute DDs.

same here, my DD's are all low level still.

Actually, map 4-3 is now a better spot to lvl DDs and CLs and to do subs quest at the same time after they fixed the 3-2-A steel farm bug. Dunno if you know about that. Though you need a certain ship formations to maintain you always hit the subs node for easy 1k+ mvp exp(DD will almost never get fatigued in this map) for flagship DD/CLs lvling.

My life would (nearly) end if I ever see that screen

I loved military vehicles since I was a kid, especially aircrafts (I wanted to be a fighter pilot lol so innocent back then). Then it led me to naval warfare, with aircraft carriers, F/A-18, submarines. I even have novels about them. So it was an easy transition for me to love Kancolle (and Arpeggio of the Blue Steel! ). I'm still trying to warm up to tanks however *cough*WoT*cough*


Let's say I brought more than 100k yen worth of bills JUST for spending (air tickets and accommodation paid upfront), and that's still not enough. In the end I have to swipe my card for the last few purchases Then again, I brought home 20+ CD albums and dozens of doujins and tanks...so yeah

I've read about the map on wikia...what average level of the fleet you reckon I can safely venture there?

I probably would 14th floor.

LOL, back when I was a kid, I actually wanted to be a tank driver. I love all kind of military vehicles though not exactly that fanatic as in knowing all their specs right at the back my head. Besides, I also had a lousy memory to boot too. LOL. But I had always loved them since I was kid.

I actually like Girls Und Panzer but somehow ever since Kancolle came about it kinda just of clicked with me....if there was a sensha musume game, it would probably clicked with me too....I am kinda a military otaku too but foremost I am also a moefag so I couldn't World of Tanks.

Can't be say I am exactly sure but a fleet of lvl 50+(40 above should be alright too) should do the trick. (Only unlocked map 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 and 4-4 recently when I had OP Iona with me and that I used a 5 sub formation to open those map. Lazy to use a proper fleet and also wanted to save on repair times and resources. Besides, I had OP Iona to use as well.

Once you have unlocked map 4-3, a formation of a DD flagship, BB, 2CV/CVL, 1SUB and a Torpedo Cruiser. Lvl doesn't really matter when you farm 4-3. Though just make sure your DD/CL flagship and your torpedo cruiser has some decent ASW stats/equipment. Almost always certain to be sent to subs nodes (though sometimes you get sent to the other south node which can be easily solved with a line ahead formation before you get in track back to a sub node). Also using line abreast formation in sub nodes will almost always guarantee no damage done by subs or just scratch damage.

Though couldn't unlocked map 3-4 using sub due to formation requirement though. And was kinda lazy to use a proper fleet to clear yet. So, still have yet unlock map 5.

Yeah it's scary how fast Kancolle has grown onto me. But I suppose I have a bit of regret for not joining the fun earlier...look at all the events I missed

Iona..a HNGGG-inducing little sub. Too bad I missed that event orz. My fleet is only in their late 30s/early 40s, so I suppose it'd still be a while before i can unlock 4-3 need to get them loli destroyers powderful first

Oh yeah, are you guys using KCV or just normal browser? The debate of using KCV/custom app vs normal browser after the recent API thing got my attention. Seems there's a lot of animosity towards KCV, and especially Commie patch. The way I see it though, KCV is just a harmless tiny app that just display the data sent from the server in a convenient fashion; it doesn't actively communicate with the server (no extra traffic/stress) and doesn't manipulate any data. But I suppose people got wary since that incident. What's your view on it?

I'm still using KCV, it does nth but display extra info when the server and client communicates

I used to use flash projector with sanaechan but the API expiring thing hit just b4 I was going back hometown for CNY so I'm not sure what I am I going to do yet. I was experimenting a few theories on how the API expiry works but now I heard its temporary removed

But as far as I know, apps like sanae and KCV only analysis and interpreting the data packet btw flash client and DMM servers without modifying any packets file. Compare to commie's translation that perform on the fly translation for certain words or images but the lack of transparency into the software makes it hard for us to truly understand what is going on in the background. Plus everything goes into and out of their servers also adds another layer of concern

At the moment the API refresh has been uplifted, so it's back to the way it was before the latest update . But people are still panicking and wary that DMM and Kadokawa may still be targeting them in the future, especially the official twitter post warned something about using third-party program or custom browser that may increase server load/tamper with data. However, some feel that this warning is mainly targeted to the cheater/hacker/botters, and program like KCV is actually pretty harmless. But of course people are still being paranoid, and since KCV, and to further extent, commie's patch, is such an easy target, they lashed out at those.

On the other hand...

No, I didnt get into top500
top500 is easy once you have most of the reliable girls you want and trying to farm some rare girls on those high level maps.
but top100 needs dedication

What worries me is what DMM might do in the future. cuz we know that just teitokus trying to login after any maintenances can already bring their servers to their kneels. Hence why, they added stage rollover when turning back on the servers
