it's not about boleh buat ke x boleh. like our brand new training ship. we build it under DSME supervision. but now with all them FAC replacement, OPV project, lekiu batch 2? heheh .....cukup tangan ke nk buat benda2 ne semua 

besides afaik makassar-class design is derived from ferry so i don't think it's that complicated. it's not the shipbuilding itself that we have prob, but the electronic suite (radar, sonar, system integration,etcetc )

IMO the AV8 can swim coz it has a waterjet propeller at the rear of the vehicle. Same as SAF Terrex & this Indonesian Marines BTR-80.

tuler, if the Indons can build their own LPD, why we kenot lak? If we are serious in establishing a Marine force, LPD is essential for transportation of marine force
