most probably the wire got snapped internally
why not swap the wire(example green) to the center/sub/surround to see if everything works perfectly?
cuz those wires tend to snap easily

I have this this old model of ADA305 and it still served me...
I've lost the installer CD which only can be use for WIN95.

Question: Does someone here have copy of "Audio Management Software" driver for this speaker? I'm now using XP for this speaker...

If you have the copy [compatible with XP], please PM me.. I'm eager to have it since hard to find it through internet...

should i sell my mx5021? pls advice me guys! want to upgrade it.

its a good set for computer.. you should mod it to get fuller potential....
do the jimmy's mod for 5021. it makes your set very good

if you want to change to another set. not very worth it... cause the parts nowadays all china china
outside might be nicer than 5021, but parts inside is stinks
unless you plan to move on to another category of non-multimedia speakers....... =)

thanks for the advice bro, but i think it is not worth to Mod it because;

1) very hard to find the parts.
2) it is like to mod kancil, not worth it..haha!
3) dont have time and skills to mod it.

MX5021 is great set, i wouldn't change it on something another
In your place i'd tried to buy one MX5021 more, like i did!

10-yr-old ACS-45.1 still served me well in the office

i believe mx5021 have been discontinued edy..

1) you can buy the parts from rs or farnell
if you buy regular parts, it won't set you back much

2) no, its not like a kancil, and the difference is huge (i modded b4)

3) for cap replacement you only need soldering (20/100) skill points
it takes a few days to find parts,order and wait for it to arrive. 30-1hr to replace for noobie

Last time I went to Sunway Pyramid looking for new Altec Lansing for my office use, but every shop I go dont have any stock and one salesman
told me that altec lansing will ceased in malaysia market on offer me another brand.

Luckily I don trust the salesperson and went to Digital Mall PJ after that and got my new unit.


I remember a few years back, I had altec lansing headphone using it with my G4. The sq is pretty good. The unit was broken already but I cant find the exact same
model wherever I go....
