QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jan 23 2008, 02:11 PM) "adjust the EQ means you spoilt the song composer's setting", this is common phrase i heard so much time...but please keep in mind that unless u are using the EXACTLY same speaker as the composer, if not equalizer tuning is unavoidable...of course must know how to tune, if not really will spoilt it (if u tried or saw the audio system used in performance purpose, NO ANY of them are flat in EQ, impossible) you got your own point, but i still prefer to keep the original sound for home use, and there's another story for those pro audio system. QUOTE(hpares @ Jan 23 2008, 10:49 PM) Btw anyone using MX5021 and change the satelite cable? Coz i can hear cracking sound, juz bought around 2 month, should not so fast spoil gua. what kind of sound card that you're using?

I also didn't enable my sound card audio effect and equalizer. This way can listen the original sound of song and the rest of sound came out from my speaker. This is unusual case, try to test your speaker with other input (such as dvd player, handphone, mp3player...) btw, the "pak" sound came out from tweeter only? or? i guess there's something wrong with your power board or sound card This post has been edited by SkyDriver: Jan 24 2008, 10:35 PM

the bass of mx5021 ... sounds like a Hi-Fi system of a HUGE audio setup ... very similar to a system of 20 years(ya VERY OLD) at my home town which has a record player on top 2 cassset player.. needle dail radio tuner, amp and etc layer by layer and wif 2 speakers and in which IF the whole set is placed close together is the size of a big computer table IMHO it tries 2 emulate sounds which is similar to those systems givng it depth and thats why the bass sounds the way it is very different from the puncy "upfront" bass that most pc systems have ... the difference is that the treble tend to be rather piercing sharp and sounds unnatural or it will hv 2 be rather flat to blend in with the bass.... cause its a 2.1 system... if it was a 2.0 system the sync would be much better blend i think belive me or not ... set ur speaker treble to 2 dots and bass to 2 dots and turn the volume up to a reasonable sound so that u can hear it clearly outside the room where ur speakers r placed and u will feel that it sounds like a system which is much bigger than the mx5021 BUT at treble at 2 dots ... u lack the crisp clear highs and the different levels of it which u get from most female vocalist Added on January 25, 2008, 4:09 pmthe pak sound ... try removing ur sound card and reinstall it ... or maybe ur mobo gila gila d try diff slots also This post has been edited by TaQ: Jan 25 2008, 04:09 PM

personally, the subwoofer of MX5021 is totally suks when i compare it with klipsch gmx's subwoofer. (darn blurry bass from mx5021).
**i'm not comparing the power of the output, but the sound quality...
sound card : prodigy 7.1 front speaker : MX5021 rear speaker : GMX setup (setting) : clone 4-way form out 1, 2

I think they means the MX5021's bass not tight enough ?! But VS4121 totally out of this, its bass seems like the woofer box got one big hole

QUOTE(virginslayer @ Jan 26 2008, 12:39 AM) I use vs4121 damn sucks, bass to high. If you set the concert environment in sound setting or in whatever music player, the bass will almost 70% take over the voice or treble. Low down the bass level you will get better result.
