Am looking at the DDPai mini as a rear dash cam. This model comes with polymer lithium battery instead of capacitor. (Only DDPai Mini 2 comes with capacitor)
It is worth to get the DDP Mini that comes with the built in battery?
Previously was using the Mini 0806 and the battery died after slightly more than a year..
Any thought to this?

All lithium batteries will suffer the same fate. Depends whether sooner or later only.

But I do hear lithium polymer is more durable to heat than lithium ion.

Anyway, I'll try to stick to capacitor if can.

Depending on the car but usual is pull the rubber lining then slowly pull open the A pillar cover. Some A pillar cover has a screw you need to open first and usually it's under the SRS Airbag cover on the A pillar cover.

If you worry, just let the cable pass through the upper edge of A pillar, that avoid opening up the whole A pillar cover. You can then let the cable travel along the rubber lining all the way down to the bottom and then route it through the back/bottom of glove box. Very easy, I have done it for both Honda Jazz and Nissan Almera.

rclxm9.gif my A119 has arrived, gonna fit on wife's car first as mine need to redo the front windscreen tinting due to bad workmanship bangwall.gif

bluejoey for your Honda City, how did you open up the air bag logo? Use those plastic tool to pry it open?

Susuwatari also another question is, the excess wire you just coil up then stick to the back?

@celciuz Yes, just coil up and stick it to wherever convenient to you.

City, I just slowly pull open the A pillar. Pry tools I used to push the cable into the headlining only. Remember to take out the drawer to have more access to neatly tie to cable down.

This unit using capacitor or litium battery?
Prefer dash cam running on capacitor. My previous dash cam was using battery and died after a year

A119? Some say can get cheaper in lazada with coupons I think.

Banggood has 20% off coupon for the A119.
