Got a few ppl asked before if can use powerbank only to power the dashcam as some didn't want to plug to car socket to power the dashcam sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif I really don't know what to say d...

I even got asked before "the dashcam got it's own battery, why still need to plug to the car for power?" sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

The box for generic A118 looks like this (I bought a generic one and live to regret it). In addition, there is no sticker on the dashcam body to indicate serial number. In any case, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so start recording.

[attachmentid=8642433]

Edit: my generic A118 can be flashed with Viofo firmware. Now it shows Viofo logo when starting up.... night recording still shitty though. Hence, having Viofo logo may not be the best indicator of its authenticity.

From ur box pic, got barcode sticker on top right.,
Mine got barcode sticker on side of the box, like blurjoey review.

Havent got chance to record yet. Left my sdcard at office.

From Aliexpress should take about 2-5 weeks... Have you message the seller about the delay? They should provide a solution for you to either get a refund or extend the Buyer Protection thing. At the moment, I got a RC battery stuck in Taiwan... LOL!
*
havent msg yet.
just checked, still got 6 days buyer protection active.
ill try msg seller later.
thanx

Guys....is it safe to leave the dashcam in the car under the hot sun.? How about the built in battery....do they pose any danger? Most of the dashcam hv built in batt....only a few hv removable batt.
*
Dashcam now using capasitor. More safer. No problem for heat.
Batt will damaged easily under hot condition.

Nothing in Aliexpress... What happened to yours?

Got 2 cars, but 1 seldom use.. so if ride that car wanna 'reuse' the cam in the car.

I'm thinking to use neodymium magnet to use as mounting.. but afraid effecting the cam.
