QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 11 2013, 02:55 PM) i don't know mate, do you still see his impact on the game? i just hope he don't end up been the likes of Lennon or Bentley. well he always on god mode when playing in the reserve team. Doesnt make any great impact whatsoever in the normal EPL game so far, lack of game I presume. like what sols said maybe we should loan him out for a season but hopefully he is not like others promising youngster who gone out for loan and never came back after that. For me I rated Ibe higher during the pre-season game. I wonder when will he get a game.

this was the source i read a few months ago. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...al-8599978.htmlQUOTE It is believed Alonso is delaying his decision to see whether his coach remains in charge beyond the end of the season. Mourinho's career has been marked by the close relationships he has formed with his players but at Real that is something that has not happened. Alonso has been the exception in the dressing room, causing friction between himself and other team-mates who have covertly lobbied for Mourinho's removal.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 11 2013, 11:35 AM) Only issue is his age and wage. but if we are getting cheap considering he is in his last year it might work? His fee will be around the £6 million mark. Not bad even though he is 31 as speed was something Xabi was never associated with. I reckon we'll get at least 3-4 more good seasons out of him. Consider the fact that we paid a million less for Charlie Adam.

Incorrect. He scored a goal for Greece after Mucha failed to control what was a routine backpass from Sktrel.

Getting Started

|
The article below is as how i suspected they way things are going for us (& arsenal). Possession football or "death to the opposition by possession football" as quoted or something along those lines. It's a good thing it appears we are wising up to rodgers first years baptism as Lfc manager. Sure he had some theory on how it would be ideal/excellent to play 80% tiki-taka to kill the opposition. I always thought it was murder & a little over optimistic (as if the opposition has no knowledge in how to play). QUOTE While Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all in flux after appointing new managers in the summer, and Tottenham are adapting to life without their best player, it is not necessarily continuity that has helped Arsenal and Liverpool enjoy impressive starts to the season. The managers may be the same, but the message is different - possession is no longer nine-tenths of the law.
It can be seen through the statistical analysis of both sides' performances so far. Arsenal have slipped from the top of the Premier League possession chart in 2012/13, with an average of 58.2% per game, to eighth and an average of 54%. Liverpool, third in Rodgers' first season in charge with an average of 57.2%, are now ninth with an average of 51.7%.
Statistical data only proves so much, but it reinforces what we can see on the pitch as Arsenal attack in spurts and quick transitions, while Liverpool have sought to get themselves in front before tightening up and holding on to the lead. As revered former Arsenal manager Herbert Chapman once said: "The truth is you can attack for too long." It's good, it shows rodgers can adapt & mindful of the players at his disposal instead of being too rigid believe that "tiki system > players at hand". Of course, there is exception to the rule in games, but thats the beauty of awareness. It can be varied, switched around. that is even better than to overly rely dead-on to believe everyone can play like barcelona.
