QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Oct 11 2013, 10:22 AM) We are glad to have him (at bargaining price) as long as he scores more goals than F.Torres of Chelsea and A.Carroll of West Ham. Agent Rafa did us a huge favor. He knew what we will get. That's his payback for the blues that chanted 'Rafa out'.And he could probably drop a tips to BR to sign Coutinho as well Thank you Rafa. Always a red in our heart! QUOTE(dillonyong @ Oct 11 2013, 12:16 AM) Patience never existed in Chelsea. That's why they call for heads every season. How many managers and players that went out so far tells the story. Patience needs justification. I believe this is really wrong and that's why some commentators said, Football gone mad with moneyman in charge. A winning manager will have his off form season. Ancelloti won 1 EPL and then next season got fired. Goodness. If Roman bought MU instead of Chelsea, I believe he would have fired SAF. That's how dumb that guy is. With the amount the Russian spent, he expected some good result. That is reasonable & justifiable. As for SAF, he was lucky to be appointed as manager in 80s. He brought MU to 1st runner-up in his 1st full season. Besides, he came up with feasible plans in revamping coaching and scouting system for the club. And most important of all, the club owner bought his ideas and recognised his contribution. These are the justifications. |

I always thought Roberto Di Matteo did an awesome job when he left to managing Chelsea half way, and it is so sudden. But he took it over and managed it accordingly and winning 2 major trophies.
So yea, I have no idea what the owner was smoking at that time. That's winning a freaking damn CL, and all he get is sacked. |

We need to get Alonso back in January so that Stevie can be rotated. He's the only choice that the fans and Stevie himself will approve of for him to be sitting on the bench. We need to beat Cheski for this one.

Well FSG and BR are quite consistent in that they don't sign 'old' players with high salaries. But i think perhaps someone like Alonso may bring some revenues in merchandise as i still believe he's a huge brand among Liverpool supporters. No signing fee but he will command a huge salary especially if Chelsea come knocking. And if Chelsea do want him then i seriously doubt we will sign him. Alonso always strikes me as an intelligent person, he knows he's on the last phase of his career and will most likely want to get the best contract he can possibly get before he retires and i don't really blame him. He has earned that.
Personally, i prefer that we invest in potentials than in Xabi despite my great admiration of the player. With Lucas losing his pace and Gerrard edging closer to the end of his career, we need vigorous youthful players more than anything else. |
