comfort surely cant beat that accord. you can even make the car like ur own bedroom sleep anywhere still feel confortable. but every 2-3 month need to spend 300-500 fix this and that. its my family's old car given to me. at first im quite happy cos no need to pay the car anymore but after 2 years using it my pocket already rabak every month 400-600 just for fuel. im working around town here there here there no long distance but so many place in 1 day. So i think best to move and try something new. i want to buy a safe fuel car at first but if you already drove 2.0 car its kinda hard to go lower that that. And the problem with me i dono use motorcycle

I don't think you will see a huge difference in the SS to the Accord (for the first 1k km).

Also, depends how you drive, want to save a lot of money, use the instant fuel consumption or the average fuel consumption and work it out. Looks like you will reach 1k km easily. My car still <5k km, more than 2 months already.

It is definitely a step up. I have no idea. I assume the effect will be similar with Preve, though I don't think it is necessary to put the race chip, unless you always travel with full load.



Review:

After living with this for few months, I can say the auto wiper is very nice. In fact, put it in auto and forget..for the front wipers. Rear wipers still need to do from time to time. Weirdly when the wiper is in auto mode, and while you are reversing the car, the rear wiper does turn on automatically, and I think matches the speed of the reversing. That is nice. Would still like a timer/intermittent version rather than always on for the switch.

As for the auto headlamps, they are useful when total dark..if you are lazy to turn the dials 2 knobs forward. Too sensitive for dusk/my liking.

On another note, since it is monsoon at pantai timur now, the biggest size umbrella does not fit in the umbrella gutter (longkang or whatever you call it) boot cover behind the rear seats. Solution, put it between the boot cover and the rear seats. Not that big of a problem, even if you are sitting in the rear will not disrupt the passengers.

Mileage still 4.5k though.

anyone here have problems like,

1. not using seatbelt warning not functioning.?

2. while driving, the side mirror flips and closed by itself.?

3. when lock/unlocking car.. boot automatic opens?

4. car could not start?



only 3 month old already have this kinda problem? when calling the service center they say maybe the computer sensor is the cause. cannot send the car to the centre cuz it's already closed for the day.

so anyone here having this kinda problem before? already tried plugging off the battery terminal.. still the same.
gotta send the car back to proton on monday. but just wanna know if anyone else experiencing the same before.

3. No, unless you press more than 3 secs, then yes the boot will open up.

all of this problem came at the same time.. malfuntion all of a sudden. even handbrake light is on all the time. couldn' be fluid on low. def. going back to the SC.

hey.. you can remain anonymous if u dont wish to reveal alot about urself.. but the members seem to be sporting and some are indeed knowledgeable about the car.. i guess no harm in joining they even have had second TT already around KL despite me having not joined them yet..

So far i havent faced any major problem. only facing few minor problem such as the HU unit which sometimes hang without a reason and my navigation system dont work anymore. Besides that, my emergency light will randomly turn on its own when I start the engine. It dont effect the ride but can be a lil bit annoying.

Anyway, my mileage is almost reaching 8k. Looking forward to fixes those problem on my next service.

1 and 2, never happened to me before. 3 maybe because pressed the remote button too long , but he owned the car for 3 months already so he must have already known the boot remote function...could be something else.
4 happened to me before, cant start do to some electronics fault. Had to be towed to the nearest SC and wait for Monday since they're closed on Sundays. It started with my handbrake light also, on all the time as well as my brake lights. This one I sent to an SC in JB and they replaced a faulty switch. A week after that the ESC, handbrake (again) and check engine indicator started to light up. This was when my car couldn't start and had to be towed. This time the SC (Puchong) told me they just played around with the switches, according to them maybe loose (could be the new switch from before). I think they also reset the alarms in the control unit (ECU maybe, I'm not sure).

You can start the car by unplugging the battery for at least 20-30 minutes (if still cannot restart, try unplugging longer) According to the We Care guy I called this will reset the system and you will be able to start your car. But DONT stop the engine unless you really have reached your destination, because you have to unplug the battery to reset again after that just to restart your engine. Happened to me also .

HU hang, sometimes, but rarely.

The warning light, happened earlier. It seems if I don't properly park the car (off ac, pull handbrake) the light will come out. Now never happens. I have no idea why this happens also.

I guess its due to ur engine start method..
I faced that too..cause i just press the brake and push once the button...right after key slotted in..now, no problem after following steps below..
According to manual page 94-95, the steps are:
1.slot in key
2. 1st push = acc mode
3. 2nd push (orange color illuminates) = ON
4. Press brake (green color illuminates), 3rd push = engine starts..

Step 2&3 ..no brake press

now this is what happened to me recently. about 2/3 times already.

so i just press the start button again to off the current then step on brake and start the engine. only then it starts.
anyone facing this prob?

if with the proper start, u're facing problem..its better for u refer to SC..
