1st,im sorry if this is too complicated, try to help, not forcing anyone to follow. to get juice up a bit fc by understanding punch cvt.

1) rolling start- always let the car roll a bit first by themselves after stagnant bfore press the throttle pedal.

2)rev up to 1.6k rpm max only if u r - at the parking lot, really slow stop n go traffic n at situation speed less than 40kmh.

3)rev between 1.7k to 1.9k rpm max only if u r - driving in town where speed between 50 to 80kmh is only needed, and cruising below 90 kmh.

4) when overtake,no need pedal to metal, just exploit the flat torque curve between 2-4k rpm only. sometimes 2k rpm is just enough.

k,just sharing. i am sorry in advance.
*
Hi mat, thanks for the info. What about during reversing? Sometimes I feel like the engine is about to stall when I reverse park. In fact it stalled on me once, the rpm was <1k. So now during reverse I make sure to rev it a little so that the rpm is around 1k. Is this normal?

Nice...for me its not that bad dor cruising @160kmj..wish could afford one but my heart ady goes for exora prime.

Soo next step racechip? brows.gif

Haha..no la. I don't need that kind of acceleration. This car is powerful enough for me as it is.

I still have the "periodic inspection"  even after first service. the authorised bengkel said, i need to go to proton official kedai to update the ECU.

Have anyone done their first service. I used fully synthetic oil. and the mechanic said the next service should be done in 10k interval. if I used semi synthetic, have to service every 5k. which one is better actually?
*
Mine also still showing the periodic inspection. During my service I saw the mechanic struggling in the cabin to reset the thing, trying to reset from the instrument panel, even disconnected the battery to see if the thing resets sweat.gif.

On service interval, the SC recommended semi-syn (5k) until my mileage reaches 20k to better break-in the engine. I followed that recommendation although they did told me if I wanted to they can use fully-syn (10k).

hi all, just sharing a bit, just realise last year, proton bandung jawa had uploaded a few of crashtest done for exora,n which some of them not even being tested by any ancap. its only a part of crashtests being done showed in the video,n that is how prtn done their testing. its actually internal video, but since uploaded by the dealer, its ok i guest. just hope u guys can learn a bit on part of making cars, not as simple one might think. sorry for offtopic, the video is in youtube.
*
Hoho... didn't know they tested "turtle" roll over as well. Ancap doesn't test for that. Any chance we get to see Suprima's video? The pictures in the brochure are not enough. Hehe.

If it makes you feel any better, I only got smart tag and half tank of petrol, which the SA gave RM160 instead because he didn't have time to buy. . I'm very bad at negotiating free gifts sweat.gif. But I got 2.58% for 7 years from muamalat.

My car got 1 bar left, distance 180 KM. Anyone having similar readings?
*
Hmm.. mine is about 130km at 1 bar. hmm.gif Probably because of my high average. Anyways, here's my fuelly profile. So far averaging 9.9L/100km.

Fuelly

If you guys can make one and share with us that would be great. I think it'll be easier to gauge and compare since we'll be using the same method of measurement.

as for this issue, it is said that from tanjung malim they sent the car to shah alam IT department to get the HU softwre installed, and they have not enough man power to check if every single software is 100% ready to roll, thats why its like that.

one of the IT department guys came down form shah alam to reinstall my software and now everything is good to go  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

QC control for the infotainment is not up to par  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
*
IT department came to re-install the HU software? hmm.gif I wonder if they develop the HU apps in house.

Anyways, if Proton app developers (or their sub-cons) are reading this, here's my wishlist for the HU:

1) Better graphical interface for the tuner/music player. The buttons with grey interface looks very basic and old school (as if you use an old template to develop the software). An equalizer graphic would be nice too, rather than just showing the mp3/radio information. Something basic like this at least brows.gif
user posted image

2) The equalizer settings are limited, only bass and treble. I think there should be at least frequency bands setting so that we can customize our own sounds and save it. Something like this perhaps.
user posted image

3) For the music player, I like to play it in shuffle mode. But it seems it will only randomize if I play the music in full. It will just play the next music (sorted alphabetically) if I press next to skip. I'm just used to shuffling. hehe.

4) Google Play. No advantage of having an android HU if can't draw from the tonnes of apps available in the Play Store.

And so far the problems I encountered with the HU:

1) Very hard to press the lowest row of the android keyboard keys. Almost always it will register as if I pressed the 2nd row buttons (e.g. pressing M will register as J). I'm not sure whether it's due to the resistive nature of the touch screen (sensitivity problem around the edges), but do you guys know whether I can calibrate this thing?

2) I'm still having trouble using the seek function for the radio. It seems like the tuner can't find a station. If I tune it manually (if I know the frequency of a certain station) the radio stations are quiet clear. I tried both the sensitivity settings but still can't seek. Do you guys face this problem? Am I missing some settings?

Have you check your antenna is screwed in properly?

The Suprima HU and the Preve HU same size? Not the screen size, but the overall unit size. Is it the same size?
*
Yup, it's screwed on pretty tight. And my radio reception is pretty clear, which makes me think that the problem is just my settings hmm.gif . I'm gonna read thru the manual again.

how to achieve 19.9 km/l ? highway crusing?
*
No la.. that's the instantaneous reading. The more you press the higher it gets but 19.9 seems to be the maximum...never able to break that number. hehe. The average reading is more accurate for total FC per tank (just need to reset it every time after refueling)

*
Yup..you need to reset it. And the average speed reading takes idling time into consideration as well.

sounds like a good idea..  notworthy.gif
ill source that box and keep in the boot

Guys, i guess im facing a prob with my boot. everytime i release it via remote/button@cabin, the 1st time will not release the boot. the 2nd or 3rd time only itll release. the actuator works because i can hear the "thuck" sound.
i complained to SC, they say its normal. the 1st time is the actuator activating. 2nd time is the actuator releasing.
is this true? sounds stupid tho! i hope it only have to do with the latch.
*
Hmm..you could be facing the same thing I had after I got my car. Do you have to pull the boot while pushing the button? If this is so then you have to get SC to fix it. It's just a simple alignment fix of the boot latch bracket.

how can he tell me that's the feature of the actuator..hahaha

bro abot84, so do you happen to know what they did to the latch, or just simple alignment that i can diy? hmm.gif
*
Yup, you can diy. I saw the mechanic do it. Basically just need to loosen the 2 bolts and adjust accordingly.. you don't want the boot to be too tight or too loose, and you also want the boot to be aligned to the body.

Attached Image

And you can test your latch actuator while the boot is open. Use a screw driver to close the latch and try pressing the remote button. You can see the latch releases the first time you press it.

Hi there , all suprima owners , does anyone know how to solve this problem ? I put all my songs into a SD card , but when I clicked media>sd card  it will have a long list of songs starting with ._(song name) , some sort of a duplicate or shortcut ? I need to scroll all the way down only to be able to click on the mp3 that transferred in . Any idea how to hide it or solutions ?
*
Hmm..I load my MP3's in SD too but I don't have this problem. What do the duplicates look like in windows? Could be a virus trying to spread thru usb.
