Just tested the T100 at an event in Pyramid.
Oh my god.. it's better than I expected, playing all the high bitrate videos without any problems, no more DXVA artifacts of the previous Clovertrail.
I'm impressed, really can't wait to get my hands on an 8" device now!

Getting Started

|
Typical Asus, just like the last time when they first launched the Transformer Eee Pad, it was very hard to find available stock. After searching high and low I finally got fed up and went for a Acer A500 instead.
Hopefully a better Win8 tab alternative shows up in the mean time, but it looks so far the T100 beats its current competitors very hard in terms of bang for buck (eg. HP omni 10, Dell Venue 11 Pro): lower price, bundled dock, 500gb hdd, ori office, full usb3 and lighter weight. Just losing in the screen resolution and cpu speed dept.

ASUS no longer ships the initial RM1299 T100 with 32G eMMC storage. The next batch of T100 will be priced at RM1399 with 32G SSD + 500 Sata HDD hybrid.

I'm not really sure it is 32GB SSD That Asus Malaysia brochure is full of errors at time But if it is really SSD instead of eMMC, I'm happy QUOTE(ajay67 @ Nov 15 2013, 09:12 AM) to me that's fair.. but still not what i want. still hoping there will be 64GB version coming (even eMMC is acceptable) and without the HDD. coz it will only add overall weight which is not what i expect in this type of device.
