Updated to differentiate the price of the T100 with 500GB harddisk in the keyboard with the older T100 model without the harddisk

********************************************************************

REMINDER

There are people reporting that some hardware in T100 not functioning after driver updates. One of the hardware is the touchscreen.

SO THINK VERY HARD before you update device drivers. This is how the optional driver list looks like. Again, do not attempt to fix things that ain't broken. If you device is working fine, only run the IMPORTANT updates and leave the optional updates be - especially device drivers. Cheers

[b]Allegation of shops not including Office Serial in T100 package

QUOTE
Hi everyone if you're going to buy this please prepare to get conned. Shop in sunway is selling the t100 without its office serial number. To get it, customer must buy the item at 1599. If customer wants to buy at rm1299 the office serial number will not be included.

They are blaming Asus itself for misleading customers. Why so many conn men in sunway...

summary - I think I found my first windows tablet tongue.gif

also if you check the processor spec sheet - the resolution supported is up to QHD. RAM supported is up to 4G. Asus is limiting the spec to keep price low.

Intel also mention that comes early 2014, bay trail should be able to support 64bit. maybe when that time comes, we will see T100 bumped up to 4g of RAM and running Windows 8.1 64bit

With full Office 2013 and the keyboard included -- we might need to queue on launch date to get the tablet tongue.gif

I will wait for the 4GB version. biggrin.gif
That would definitely help me a lot with SQL Server + VB tasks.

Don't quite see the value of it at that price (T300 goes for above RM4k doesn't it?). biggrin.gif

If they have the T100 with 4GB at below RM2000, it's a no brainer purchase for me. The additional 2GB of RAM would help immensely when I do debugging/code patching (with SQL Server running on the background) when I am on the run. I might be able to make do with 2GB, but most likely I'd need to start paging when I fire up VB Studio.

Thanks for the intro of the T300 though. It definitely is a powerhouse!

me think the reason it has only 2G of ram is because the processor does not support 64bit at launch = no 64bit OS why bother with 4G of ram right wink.gif

me thinking of Quarter 1 of 2014 to see if there will be any T100 upgrade. Intel said the new ATOM processor will support 64bit next year.
