this tablet is great. it only lacks RAM and HD size. else, its beautiful
Well, 2GB is sufficient for normal tasks, especially if you don't ask too much of it (ie, less open browser tabs, less multi tasking) as for storage space. Just get a MicroSD card.
No 4GB RAM, part of reason is it is running 32-bit W8.1. Why 32-bit W8.1? Because that is the current version of W8.1 that support "connected standby" (a power management feature).
What is "connected standby" ? Fancy tech talk for describing an x86 OS that can instantly turn on and off like an iPad, and can receive Skype calls and notifications when it's 'off' just like an ipad.
Hey guys, I'm actually thinking to buy new tablet which supports something like Wacom Digitizer for precision and accuracy during note taking in my lecture class. I prefer tablet something like Galaxy Note 10.1 or 8 as they have wacom digitizer and S - Pen ( the normal stylus for capacitive screen not precise and accurate ) but the main factor for not choosing Galaxy Note is due to the design (very fugly for me). Are there any other tablets that have the same features as Galaxy Note ? My preference would be Windows OS
Surface Pro and Samsung Ativ Pro are the only ones with Wacom Digitizers, so no Hashwell models unless you can get your hands on a Surface Pro 2.
The other tablets like the Sony Duo, uses other providers, which are ok... IF only they didn't use the damn AAAA batteries..
see how the N-Trig active digitizer pen works on the new Sony Vaio Duo 13 Intel Hasswell hybrid
yes, I have experienced the NTrig pen as well, its not too bad. Its sensitive to electrical noise though, so it might behave a bit weird if your power socket isn't delivering clean power. But the REAL issue of the non Wacom pens so far is...
Bloody farking AAAA battery, seriously, if you think its not a problem when I've only found it onsale in ONE shop around PJ you must think you won't use it for more than a year!
This is a tablet with an atom processor folks. You need to be realistic in terms of your expectations. Movies, editing docs, reading, some low res gaming is ok with it.
That's the main issue with a lot of people, just open tons of browser windows, containing tons of Flash games, then complain the system is slow even though the system is quite good one.
not likely can solve by firmware..................
because the venue 8 pro using only 256 level of screen pressure sensitivity..................its quite low decent should be 1024 level. Hardware problem
it like Samsung Galaxy Note (256 level) and Note 2 (1024 level) different
Well, normal users would only care that lightly pressed means light ink, heavy press means thick ink so wheter it's 256 or 1024 wouldn't matter to users using it as a notepad.
As for designers, do we even know if Synaptics or N-Trig provides the correct drivers for Photoshop to pick up the pressure?
Guys need some information. I am planning to get an asus t100 tomorrow but im hearing news its out of stock everywhere. Does anyone knows or saw any shop still selling it? Location can be anywhere in klang valley or perak. Thanks.
Yeah man, it does seem to be out of stock everywhere. I think your best chance might be to wait till PC Fair in a few weeks. HOPEFULLY they might be getting the stock ready for then.
