The Illegear offers a hell lot more customization options, do check out their website, you will be surprised and poisoned laugh.gif Go for a mSATA SSD or full SSD upgrade

If you opt for the MSI, use remaining budget to get a 256GB SSD (~RM650) to replace the HDD (can be used as external HDD laugh.gif)

If it is for "work", the Dell may be a good idea, as the warranty is next biz day on site (mean technician will go to your place to fix hardware problem), extend to 3 years for peace of mind.

These 3 are usually the ones that top in terms of performance for a RM4k budget nod.gif

*prices in RRP, negotiable
*The illegear may be the cheapest among the bunch, but after you opt for a genuine copy of Windows, it'll be more or less the same.
*Performance-wise, the GT750M SLI tops in gaming, especially when the games are optimized for it

Lenovo (on-site warranty) and Illegear should provide the best in terms of warranty support, but provided you are covered. Might want to consider topping up a bit for the warranty, especially when its a notebook with high-end components which are expensive to replace nod.gif

Most of the time you can get the seller to help you out with it nod.gif
Though for HDD replacements, which is a lot more tedious, you will be charged abit nod.gif

That G400s is a pretty good choice. The i5 M is good for your usage, probably can get a better GPU though (good for any 3D CAD, certain photo / video editing algorithm, and gaming).

Can also consider these:

Dell
Inspiron 14R, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M@RM1849 [2.32kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), Linux, 6 cell; W8@RM2049

HP
Pavilion 14-N059TX, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2099[2.03kg], 4GB, 750GB, W8

Toshiba
Satellite L40-AS109Xb/G/W, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[Onkyo], 4GB, 750GB, 3 years local warranty

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

Alternative, you could go with the G400s, then spend the remaining of your budget to get SSD (128G ~ RM300) to replace the HDD (keep as external HDD).
