QUOTE(DemasOng @ Sep 18 2013, 10:41 PM) ...that means....buying an acer would be like taking a gamble?! There are a serious issue on the wifi of R7. http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Net...e-R7/td-p/94855 That are unresolved until now.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Sep 20 2013, 12:35 PM) Ahh, no worries, even the Nvidia GT740M is quite capable of mid settings in most current games yo And its the weakest one among the lot recommended to you Definitely not haha For more details, please read my siggy, the one on Haswell It's actually i5-3230m vs i5-4200u. 3rd gen is a powerhouse if compared to 4th gen but what about the energy consumption difference? Will there be a huge gap between the battery life? Both using same 6 cells battery.

QUOTE(kzy @ Sep 23 2013, 10:55 AM) i am wondering if 6 cell battery offer longer battery life than 4 cell? thanks for your recommendations, but i found difficulties after you recommendations, that is i can't found any review about the laptops and even tech specs of lenovo models~ even though i found it in the computer shop, but no brochure for reference too. what can i do if i want to do comparisons for these laptops? would you recommend Lenovo Z400 touch, Z500 touch, G400s and Z480 for my usage? since these models are still within my budget. thanks. Yes.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Sep 26 2013, 04:02 PM) SSD = Solid State Drive. Something like a big pendrive that is slowly replacing HDD now. Since it doesn't involve any rotating parts, its quieter, more solid, cooler, way faster and lighter. Only drawback is that is more expensive and the capacity is lower for the time being You will have to replace the HDD inside the notebook with the SSD, better ask shop people to do for you if you are not familiar with it If we install the OS in SSD and soft wares in HDD,will the loading time for softwares be shorter or it's just the same?

QUOTE(KyriosxX @ Sep 26 2013, 04:26 PM) you will need to replace HDD with SSD, so dont think the laptop of your choice have such large capacity for that. fyi, SSD is at least 8 times faster than HDD, so whatever u install in SSD will be faster My laptop cannot have both drives?
