QUOTE(mikelanding @ Nov 7 2006, 11:05 AM) CPU Idle: 23c Load: 31c<----wow..U got a super chip there...which operate below ambient temp... or U staying at Northporth? Can U use TAT or Coretemp to measure C2D? Coz those reading above seem unrealistic to me.... maybe his room temp is 2+c kot mine is same as outside feels like damn sauna but then im not getting thinner hehe.i think i have to mod my casing to 120mm since the 80mm suck big time

QUOTE(akachester @ Nov 9 2006, 05:49 PM) Sorry for being noob but what do u mean when its idle and when its full load? Idle: When there are no program at all running in background... The best way to find an idle temperature is to leave the pc running free for 10 minutes... [Don't forget to run a temperature reader software in the background] Full Load: When the processor is running at 100% in the task manager... [The best way is to prime the pc]

Not sure how to push my proc to run at 100% though.. Anyway, i am using AMD64 3000+ venice with Zalman Fatal1ty Cpu Cooler and my idle temp is about 30c...

[The best way is to prime the pc] it is almost impossible to achieve ZERO application running in the background. however, I would say anything less than 1% cpu utilization can be considered as cpu idle state.
