i wonder why my pentium D is so cool even when overclocked, i am starting to doubt my temp readings, but i use the Abit Uguru that comes with my board and also everest(ultimate edition), and both programs report the same reading, speedfan is apprently not compatible with my board(AWD8-Max) as it only show my 2 harddisk temps, and TAT oso not compatible.....

Look at those pentium D processor that you've quote...
They all are using Pentium D 8XX series... blush.gif

If i'm not mistaken, Pentium D 8XX series are much hotter than the Pentium D 9XX series... icon_rolleyes.gif

Just wait until my P5WD2-E Premium board comes back from RMA, then i'll check at the temperature... [I'm using Pentium D 930]

Once my board comes back from RMA, then i'll update my list again for my specs on number 1... notworthy.gif

guys kinda have a question here...it seem whether i set my fan at any speed the temp still the same.why is that..maybe drop a 1 or 2c only?when i set my fan at 1.8k my full load is at 57-58 if i set at 2.5k rpm the temp load at 56c.i use 2 cpuburn software to fullload my proc.last time i use prime and superpi at the same time temp load at 52c..which is correct?

P4630 with that temperature really suprise me men... before this i own the proc and cooled it off with thermalright SI-120 .. it perform cool...

Idle 28 Load 36 (non aircond)
Idle 22 Load 32 (aircond)

did u OC it .. i tried OC to 3.5GHZ but the temp only increase by 2c both idle and load...

its either ur room really too hot, or the cooler isn;t that performing or ur thermal paste contact....

ya lohh im kinda surprised ur temperature way way low.i ask last owner he said on stok HSF the temp kinda at 60 at idle load around 68c i think?not sure....in term of performance mine a bit better than SI 120 since i have 4 heatpipe and i have 6casing fan 3intake 3 xhause sweat.gif

This is more insane! Ur having ur aircond blowing direct to your heatsink?

I guess your having spoilt sensors. It's impossible to have a processor using air cooling to be cooler than the ambient temperature. If i were u, i wouldn't try to overclock much. You wont know when ur reaching ur limits.

Hopefully it is problem with the thermal paste contact only... coz last time when i was using stock heatsink also idle 40+ and load at 56C... never reach 60c men...

should check it out... I hope that Gigabyte cooler is good (never try) but i am a fan of Thermalright since most of the product would not need to worry about replacement fan in the future...

just grab any liking fan and run as it rock....

Ehh bro, isn't it time for you to upgrade you're C2D heatsink?

SI120 is a little outdated liao... laugh.gif

What about HR-01 or an Ultra 120? brows.gif

since u mentioned it i indeed have order HR-01 and it's on the way.

however even with SI-120 it can handle C2D without sweating.

CPU Idle: 23c Load: 31c
Sys Idle: 32c Load: 41c

So what do u think of it ? it still can handle it well just that i go upgrading for silence.

CPU Idle: 23c Load: 31c<----wow..U got a super chip there...which operate below ambient temp... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif or U staying at Northporth? laugh.gif laugh.gif
Can U use TAT or Coretemp to measure C2D? Coz those reading above seem unrealistic to me....
