QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 3 2006, 09:00 PM) I think you should get a higher performance heatsink rather then getting all those crappy heatsink you mention here... aiyoyo...My suggestion is, get a Hyper 6+... Find another RM60, then buy it from moderno... It's RM160.00 With that heatsink, i think you should get a very much lower temperature instead... its not tat i dun wannt to buy...buy a bit pricey for the time being do u guys tink it would be cheaper in pc fair?? ***btw i got those heatsinks from moderno oso thermaltake not go r?... ninja sythe how much r? is there any other tat is slightly cheaper than tat? cuz i need to do a few other upgrades as well guys.. would really like it if u guys can help me out a.s.a.p tqs~ |

QUOTE(dro @ Aug 3 2006, 10:41 PM) aiyoyo... Out of all your choices, the TT Tower 102 should be good enough for you. Despite being abit waay too large. its not tat i dun wannt to buy...buy a bit pricey for the time being do u guys tink it would be cheaper in pc fair?? ***btw i got those heatsinks from moderno oso thermaltake not go r?... ninja sythe how much r? is there any other tat is slightly cheaper than tat? cuz i need to do a few other upgrades as well guys.. would really like it if u guys can help me out a.s.a.p tqs~ Ninja cost around RM150. Not sure if it's still selling around the forums though. Try getting it from elhh82. Or you can opt for the TT Sonic Tower. Not too bad as far as i know. |

QUOTE(miraged @ Aug 4 2006, 09:10 AM) one question... Its probably safe since they can produce and sell it to ppl. Important thing is not to carry your PC around with big momma HSF attached. Most manufacturers also advise to remove big HSF when moving the PC around, esp lanparty ...those huge ghue heat sinks. i think it's hyper 6+.... so darn heavy.. . the other day i saw it in sri com.... how the heck can the mobo stand? i mean... when u attach it, the heat sink will be horizontal... won't that cause LOADS of stress to the mobo??? heavy ma!! DRO: Try to squeeze alittle more budget and get a decent HSF. If not you may end up unhappy with what you got. It happen to me also, kedekut go and buy small HSF then cannot cool the Pentium D during load, end up spend even more. End of the day I give free HSF upgrade to all my family member's PCs (but it was fun testing them out) |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 16 2006, 07:45 PM) Stock HSF noisy? I suspected this also. Likewise I build my own PC and my stock Intel Heatsink base is made of copper(straight out of the Ori packing) ..whereas my friend's PC which she bought and build from a shop the Heatsink base is not copper and the stock fan spin nearly 4000rpm which makes alot of noise. But when u touch the heatsink, it is not that really hot and what i am suspecting is the processor could not transfer heat effiecient enough to the heatsink thus making the fan spin at full blast. Then u must be getting the tipui heatsink... Original Intel Heatsink is those that is somekind quiet... They don't suppose to be noisy... I've seen a lot of Socket 478 Intel Heatsink... Sometimes the shop change the original heatsink with the "local" one... The original intel heatsink should be quiet... Even if it produce some sound, the original one won't be noisy... I wonder if your's stock HSF is a copper base or full aluminium? You don't have to remove the heatsink to see, just remove the fan will do. |

Shawty was replying to my post on noisy fan. I have to dig out the HSF, I chucked it into store room oredi. I guess its suppose the stock should have copper base right? Never got around to investigate, anyway I love my Zalman 9500 I got to replace the stock hsf.I wonder if your's stock HSF is a copper base or full aluminium? Any board can also support a much heavier full copper heatsinks... But u have to make sure that u lock the heatsink nice and tight Not to tight coz it will kill your mobo... |
