wahh, I am eager to buy that Gigabyte G-Power cooler for my socket A cpu..
vey99, mind to tell me if there still some stock of this Gigabyte G-Power cooler? how much it priced? Maybe next month, I able to grab one.

You can buy it anytime from "moderno"...
It's cheaper than buying at lowyat plaza... icon_rolleyes.gif

I bought mine at Low Yat All IT. RM 139. At Moderno's, the model is the G-Power with variable fan speed, RM120. At All IT that model is RM 189. HOWEVER, the variable fan speed one does not have the "Support AM2" sticker compared to mine, so I didn't consider it. Also, I was tired of searching for other coolers so final stop at All IT I just buy it.

Today I upgrade HSF after searching high and low in LYP (exlude OCP, they open so late) I finally bought a Gigabyte G-Power (GH-PDU21-SC) from All IT. Most other shops no AM2 cooler for sale.

After adding this + some AS5 I see around 13% improvements and now testing to see how stable at 2.7GHz. Previousl load was 67~69C@2.7GHz, now is 59~60C@2.7GHz.
I prolly won't go higher for normal use cos generally I set guideline at 60C max for CPU.

Shawty pls add me:
vey99 ~ AMD 3500+ Orleans AM2 @ 2.7GHz ~ Gigabyte G-Power ~ Idle 40°C, Load 59°C
what voltage are u at with the Orleans at 2.7GHz? because mine doing the same speed at 1.5V is around the same temperature as yours.... STOCK COOLER some more. and my room is not airconditioned.

oic.. my voltage I set at bios is 1.425, when running my asusprobe shows 1.49 ~ 1.52V. Should I give it more voltage? I notice my rig not enuf exhaust power also, 80mm vantec fan @ 2000rpm. I think the case can take up to 92mm, not try yet cos no spare 92mm fan...

There's one question before you do that...
Do you want maximum airflow, or do you want the fan to look nicer? tongue.gif

If u use fan grill, you'll block some of the airflow...
[not to much, but still, it'll blocks, depend on the type of the fan grill u use... thumbup.gif ]

If u don't then u're giving the highest possible air intake for the fan and will result to more airflow...

But, without using any fangrill, there's also some dangerous precautions if u're using super fast fan...
There's a possibility that you might make your hand cut or some wires stuck in the fan... sweat.gif

So, choose... thumbup.gif

fangrill??? my delta FFB already has a built in 'fangrill' in the form of the static blades tongue.gif

but now i aint using that anymore as ive transfered my rig into a new aluminium case and using a new fan on it with a UV reactive mesh filter that uglyvamp sells. the purpose isnt to protect my fingers though...its more to protect my heatsink from dust laugh.gif
