That's crazy...i'm using Gigabyte P35 mobo also with E6300, and the temperature is insanely low at 32C sweat.gif , while Core0/Core1 are 53C/52C. Previously my Asus mobo gave me 44C+ (Core0/Core1 = 53/52) with the same CPU.

Right now i'm more concern with the Tjunctions temperatures, Core0/Core1 which are averagely ~15C higher than Tcase (CPU) temp. If your Core0/Core1 temperature are both <30C , that's IMPRESSIVE!!! thumbup.gif

On the whole the Xigmatek HDT-S693 heatsink runs a little warmer than the the stock AMD Athlon64 AVC Z7U7414001 (AM2) heatsink, but much quieter. On the Intel platform the HDT-S963 is dramatically better than the stock Intel Core 2 Duo bifurcated-fin heatsink."

This can be found in ckhoong post it self. Pls comment.
Any AMD plus Xig 963 user can comment on this??

thats the amd heatsink u r talking about.. but not this
user posted image

i believes the AVC Z7U7414001 Athlon64 Socket AM2 / 939 Heatsink can beat xigma's 963 a little by its 5400RPM fan... but fuiyoo 5400rpm cool.gif

i see you need a xigma s1283 but not s963... s963 is an alternative aftermarket cooler if you wants something better than ac..

QUOTE(Doom @ Aug 27 2007, 10:43 AM)
I think most likely is mounting issue .. .there's no way a stock cooler could beat performance cooler without sweating too much ....

just have to wait more review on it ...
*
so far i have gotten 1 report from superfly about his dfi 939 mobos has mounting issue(with modification)..which the am2 clip will bend a bit...
gotten no complain from other amd users

about stock cooler vs xigma's 963.. please refer above..

actually i always have an ideas to setup my PC the 'silent' way but then,
after buying those called silent fan and setup , not my luck as heat build
up quickly and no way i can get it done without good air flow fan.

so i end up campur the 'silent + loud ' fan together, with adjustable fan speed,
so i got the best of both world.

my cpu cooler was currently using a Nidec 3000rpm fan , so i was thinking of 4800rpm fan.

To me thats rather brilliant my fren.only u have to spend a bit more to get the fan controller.its better than constantly changing fan doh.gif

U got OC? If not it shouldnt be a prob.

I've currently got my x23600+ OC-ed to 2.8ghz at 1.4v. Temps with the stock cooler are around 60-65 at full load and 40-45 at idle. I'm planning to get another cooler to replace this. My max budget is RM120. ANy recommendations??

The temp is ok IMO.
For the suitable temp, I think better do not exceed 60. icon_rolleyes.gif
