QUOTE(toughnut @ Jun 12 2007, 07:34 AM) my room ambient? or my case temp? my case temp is around 36C, not sure about my room temp though... Ya, previously my intel stock temp is about 50C and yesterday i max the new FreezerPro and it managed to reduced to 39~40C.... so, about 10C cooler. but in silent mode, only managed around 45C. I think different mobo will give different temp readings. another forumer's CPU temp is around 42C only using intel stock cooler. |

QUOTE(mfa333 @ Jun 14 2007, 07:12 PM) guys, need opinion/comment about Artic Freezer64 Pro. Sounds tempting. 3 heatpipes and pre-applied MX-1 and low noise fan. I'm using this Freezer Pro 7 for my e6300. With fan speed set to the highest, it manages to sink my temp by around 8-10C. But with low rpm, it only drop around 5C, but it's dead silent. Under full rpm, there's obvious noise....I hope this helps... |

my 1st ever heatsink was AC FreezerPro7 and is still using it in my parents computer, still very proud of owning one!! I'm no hardcore overclocker, so, AC is my choice for quiet setup... the temperature really drop around ~10C as stated in most reviews....
As for my 2nd heatsink for my current rig, i'm thinking of going for xigmatek, but then, i'm not too sure bout the quietness of it... wanna buy and try but then, i dun have the luxury of "trying". so....i'm still looking for something budget...RM120 is not too bad, but xigmatek is still new. Dun dare to spend the money on it yet until more ppl report in how quiet xigmatek is.... This post has been edited by blessedvillain: Aug 24 2007, 12:04 AM |

QUOTE(Doom @ Aug 24 2007, 12:14 AM) It's not too quiet based on review.... so u would have to get a quiet fan to replace it ..... that would add additional cost .... true...additional fan to replace xigmatek heatsink would cost little more $$....so, that beats the purpose of budget heatsink already. i cant think of any good budget heatsink other than AC Freezer. |

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Aug 27 2007, 05:42 PM) nope. stock Intel heatsink. That's crazy...i'm using Gigabyte P35 mobo also with E6300, and the temperature is insanely low at 32C eh thanks. Jessica Alba FTW!1!1! Right now i'm more concern with the Tjunctions temperatures, Core0/Core1 which are averagely ~15C higher than Tcase (CPU) temp. If your Core0/Core1 temperature are both <30C , that's IMPRESSIVE!!! This post has been edited by blessedvillain: Aug 27 2007, 09:13 PM |
