They still using it always. We got no enough bullet to build base like the MMs does. So just use other better method. like 1:3 risk:reward

QUOTE(lovejerk @ Sep 28 2013, 09:29 PM) a stop loss that follows the price according your set distance. it is created to secure your profit incase the price move against you while you are in the positive. basically its a moving stoploss.

QUOTE(lovejerk @ Sep 29 2013, 02:22 AM) I see, so if the price falling back from the highest profit, will the stop loss falling back also? No it wont fall back. Thats the point of having a trailing stop, so that u can secure your profits if the price move against you.

QUOTE(lovejerk @ Sep 29 2013, 01:22 AM) I see, so if the price falling back from the highest profit, will the stop loss falling back also? let say your TP +100pips, SL -30pips. from the time you enter the position, now you gaining +70pips; to secure some of the profit, you moved your SL to +40pips. thats means if the price only move to +80pips, but not yet hitting your TP but move the other way already. You still can secure a +40pips from that trade itself, so you still earn that +40pips rather then losing -30pips.

For example u buy at the price of 1.3030. With SL 1.3000, TP 1.3130. Then the price went up to 1.3080, u can set SL to 1.3060, so even if the price move back against u, u still secure 30pips profit.

Using trailing stop to let the profit run or you guys preferred close the order once profit reach your target value? Both ways dude. We're not god, we can't predict future price. Sometimes we look at the market and challenge for more pips, Trailing Stop works fine here. (Still secure positive pips here, rather than negative pips) Sometimes is just take and run mode. Which ever it is, the final result is positive pips then is good enough.

By the way, what indicators/tools you guys preferred when predicting the trend?

QUOTE(zDarkForceSz @ Sep 30 2013, 09:07 AM) Euro is like building base. Or maybe market preparing for upcoming NFP. I wish to ask a question regarding to the gap. I had set the TP price within the gap which means none of the candle bar touches the price. In this case, should the trade be closed based on the new open price or based on the TP price ? I found that some trades has closed on the TP price and some trades has closed at new open price (same broker but different accounts). Anyone know the actual rule ?
