HTC has made a statement on this issue and is preparing an update to rectify this issue. smile.gif This update should come along with Android version 4.3  icon_rolleyes.gif

1. Did read article which post by other .... Say that htc advice android 4.3 can solve it, but if customer don't want wait then can send for repair

2. Sometimes I doubt it....if software can solve why they retain my phone for repair for two weeks above?

3. According to some user who send repair and get back phone, the os still android 4.2.2 and it already settle the purple camera issue. But the patch not yet release, so what we can think ....is software or hardware also have problem?

my thoughts :

for those who send in for repair, they maybe change the camera module, or adjusted the software gain some temp software tweak. that y some after repair ok, but some after repair still have same problem(or problem reoccur after some times.

so not conclusion software or hard ware. everything will be clear when there release the patch.

One guy says rumor, one guy says HTC made a statement.

Please give the link to the source of this statement made by HTC. I do not believe HTC said anything other than keeping their mouth shut cause its really a problem and it seems it can't be solved.

Stop spreading rumors la and make it real. Mislead people leh.

My HTC One made in China, one of the early batch and still working perfectly now biggrin.gif

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Sep 17 2013, 06:46 PM)
anyone tried this?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334294

Or installing different roms voids warranty?
*
Using this rom after 1 week getting my HTC One. It have a lot of customization and very frequent update. icon_rolleyes.gif

unlocking bootloader will void your warranty only if your phone issues is caused by it, if they found the causes is not cause by unlocking bootloader, you still may warranty it.

"Now HTC has officially acknowledged the problem in an email reply to the Italian website HDBlog. The company says that the problem is caused by a specific combination of conditions and that it’s working on a software update to alleviate it."

With the exception of Android Origin, ALL of them cite their sources from one blog, and CNET claims to confirmed it with HTC, apparently. But as you can see, HTC DID NOT make ANY official statement. So it is merely a rumor mill that started off with HDBlog.it.

STOP SPREADING RUMORS.

I am a HTC One owner myself and I wish it was true that it is fixable via software but until HTC themselves make any statement, they are all just smoke and mirrors.

Win? We (with faulty cameras) are all losers here. I don't see how we can win if HTC decides to screw us over with a clearly faulty camera.
