the residences quite easy to rent out. say partly furnish ard RM1.8K

but the shop/retail are struggling, many still vacant. these owners are pretty cash rich and can hold so long

Yalor. Economy so bad. What to do? If you have bought directly from the developer, yield is still quite decent.

Now, PokemonGo brought Setiwalk like hell;
1. Every way is rubbish, after those they left,,especially Sat and Sun morning.
2. Crowded (a real congested!) at a normal peaceful environment.
3. Car parked at narrow, yellow lined, car-park entrance. Just wanted to save parking fee, played PokemonGo in car.
4. A mess in the Garden area now. Easily found empty bottles, empty snack bags, cigarette butts...etc.
5. The 'lake', can't avoid the hit, increasing rubbish floating!!

No action from Management. Eye closed? Ear closed?

for Setiawalk management and retail biz people, it is most welcome and generate the long awaited revenue for them. Biz easily improve 50% day to day basis.

Under such current economic scenario, it is better to have this good problem instead of empty mall.

Well, you can't stop people from coming right? After all, it's a commercial place. I do see cleaners cleaning the common areas though, so as long as they do their job it is not an issue. But yes, management should do something about those cars parked by the roadside.

It's really crazy in Setiawalk since the Pokémon craze started!

IMO, people come spend for food and drinks, people cant be just here for 2 hour and above without a dip of water and many youngster dont carry water with them.

Yes, the sales did increase. Check out 7-11 how silent in the past compare with current.

Pokémon will help increase foot fall. Up to the shop owners to capitalize and translate the increased foot fall into increased sales.

In business view: this only is short term 'hard sales', not genuine sales. The game can only last for few week (the initial heat), and then few months. Study the history (Gameboy, Nintendo, Wii..etc) will know. If a game (or hit) can help generate sales/revenue, and DO NOT disturbing other, no doubt, is good. If the 'hit' will bring problems to other, will this a good for EVERYONE? Look at those places ban Pokemongo, why they banned? Why not welcoming?

Setiawalk need to rely on Pokemon to survive? Such a weak management team? poor marketing team? Or just a lost direction team?

Products have life cycle. When it is gone, something else will come along I suppose. Just got to adapt to capitalize all opportunities.

SP Setia indirectly owns SW Mall. This entittles it to about 15pct of total share units. Usually all the owners that turn up in an agm were much less than 15pct of total share units. This means no point voting. SPS one vote would overhelm all the other votes summed up whatever the issue. Last year SPS clearly voted to reduce the number of volunteered jmc members. Less people less noise. SPS is in full control of SW JMB. About RM25k per month is paid to 3 mgt staffs for marketing/promo. So why still such poor performance? Why is mgt not delivering what it promised in bnw? Why is JMB not doing anything to correct this course? SP Setia must hold major responsibility if Setia Walk contine to go downhill. A SPS rep in JMB who just show face for half of meetings time is just not good enough. SW need a more responsible and dedicated one.The success or failure of SW is partly in SP Setia's hand - to go in the right direction or otherwise. Conflict of interest is never good.
